Arcana: the downfall

Tortwig nodded, understanding. “I can work on that.” she replied.
“I’ll need a bit of time, though.”

Oliver decided to stay, not sure he could bare whatever was next

The kitmaj continued walking

The people with her may hear subtle scuttling above them for a brief moment

Tortwig’s ears twitched. “Did anybody else hear that?”
Frostvin shook his head.

Eyvris tenses, ready to strike whatever might be above him should it give him reason.

If they looked up they’d see nothing.

“What does lux have to gain from this?” Muttered Oliver, when the kitmaj was out of earshot

Beta kept his optic focused on the ceiling. He was beginning to get a little scared.

Tortwig bent down and patted Beta comfortingly. “You’re safe. Don’t worry.”

Beta gave a comforted beep.

Tortwig smiled.

Beta continued, though still kept his focus above him.

The kitmaj continued walking, and after about ten minutes they’d enter into a massive open quarry

The main group would begin to hear scuttling above

Alpha looked above him and let out a long low growl.

There was four spiderlike robots above, though their abdomen extended to a torso with a pair of claws and four glowing red eyes attop their heads

Alpha shouted at them in binary, hoping to reach them. He asked what they were and what they were doing here. All with a harsh assertive tone.

They looked at each other, confused, before snapping their claws together and jumping down

Alpha took a step back and repeated his questions.

@Ace

OOC: wasn’t she with the kitmaj? If so they’re a bit aways now

Ooc: woops, my bad

Frostvin eyed the spider things warily.

They ignored it, snapping their claws in synchronization as they closed in around the group.

On the edge of the quarry was identical housing walled in, in a way that blocked off it’s veiw of the outside

Alpha then revved the taser again and spoke a warning to the spider bots.
