Notice how he said ‘we are’ working on ‘issue 1’? If it was Ninjago, he would have said the next issue of whatever issue Ninjago is up to. And ‘we are’ is a flat out confirmation.
This sort of corroborates what I was told when I met Greg at comic Con 06 I asked back then when he would start writing the next year’s story line and he said as of July 06 that he already had 08’s done and started working out 09’s. Since then and with this possibly being a fresh decision by Lego, its not as long but he also said that they got to work on the actual comics sometimes too late. As soon as they’d get the sets from lego they’d have to scramble to do the comics to meet the deadline.
I don’t think this is confirmation yet, but I think its everything but. Greg knows the fan’s aren’t stupid, I think that was his way of cleverly letting us know what’s up without slipping up in a way that lego might not approve of. Its definitely more coal for the hype train(The hype train is steam powered apparently).

Alright, here’s a theory I had in support of it being a continuation. Notice how there’s gold on each of them, what if the Toa Nuva reverted to their original forms so that Tahu could split up the golden armor among them! They each appear to have different pieces…

JK, I don’t actually think Omega Tahu was mentioned by name in that interview.
I think this is unlikely. The Golden armor from 2010 could only be used once (As said in Journey’s End). I think it’s far more likely that the Golden armor is something entirely new.

I would also argue against this, being that it appears that Tahu has all his golden pieces judging from the leaked images.
If jungle is the new element for Lewa, how will we see any city environments. I mean, I guess we could see vines growing on skyscrapers but I really don’t think jungle would work well with a Metru Nui environment. At that, are they going to have dynamic environments like before or are they just going to put everything onto a Mata Nui style location and leave it there?
Depends how far along the rebuilding process post-previous story is.
Frankly, the jungle retcon just seems to be there to not confuse the n00bs.
When we first saw Lewa, we saw him in the tops of the trees and in a Hell, his video showed very little air elements. He was a master of the jungle, even being affiliated with Air. I believe it’s too soon to tell whether he got a new element or not. It’s just a name and a boxart, there are still quite some possibilities out there.
