Uh… Guys? Search “BIONICLE” again on the Lego Shop. It shows Hero Factory and a bunch of other Lego products again. It’s the same link, and it has changed…
Lego seems to be covering their tracks about this whole thing… Oh well. More updates might come up. Or perhaps they’ll formally announce it. We never know.
You may have been joking by Lego is onto us, but that probably is the case. They noticed we noticed so they changed it to make it less suspicious. Too late. Bionicle and Bioniclestory.com still redirect to Lego.com though.
I was not joking… We seriouslly need to be careful with what they do. I think they find this “BIONICLE reboot” to be a subject they really want to hide, and I don’t think it helps that we have all this hype going on for it. Perhaps we should have kept this as a surprize.
Besides, even with all the evidence, you cannot be 100% sure it is coming back. Perhaps Lego could stop it this whole “BIONICLE returning” thing because we could have spoiled the surprize. They have the authority over the brand, and they can do whatever they want with it. I personally believe this is a subject that is still under suspicion.
@SammySpartan Indeed. Linking to a ‘Coming Soon’ page made the whole thing far too obvious - it showed beyond reasonable doubt that they are preparing Bionicle products to be shown on the site. LEGO had to remove it, because otherwise it straight out confirms that the series is coming back, and they clearly want to wait a little longer to formally announce it’s return properly in the way they’re planning. By removing it they place such claims into the rumour factory once more, removing the clear evidence and forcing people to rely on secondary accounts rather than seeing it for themselves. They don’t want us to know for sure that Bionicle is returning until they are really ready to show it.
@Matoro Yeah, I agree. I don’t think for a second they’d cancel the line because of some rumours: if anything this shows Lego how much Bionicle’s return is desired by the fans, and gives them a slight indication of the amount of sales they’ll be reaching when it launches (although nowhere near completely accurate, of course.)
However, at the same time we should still respect Lego’s desire for secrecy as much as we can.
If there comes a time anytime soon where there’s a distinct lack of new leaks/information regarding Bionicle’s return, it’d be good for you guys at the TTV Podcast to make a summary video of all of the reasons we have to believe that the series is going to return. I know that at this stage we’re all pretty much sure that Bionicle really is coming back, but since there’s been so much news recently it’d be good to summarise everything that we know at this point, and show how it all interlinks. It’d be useful to have all of that information in one place, rather than scattered all over the internet.
Removal of the “coming soon” page seems like a really clumsy cover-up to me. Little does LEGO know, when it’s on the internet, it never fully goes away.
ALSO @MataNui, that’s a very good idea. We’re probably going to do that at some point very soon. Not sure if it’ll be a full fledged episode, but there’s quite a lot of evidence and it’d be good to consolidate it.
A foreign website posts set names and numbers for upcoming Bionicle sets, which matched the titles in the images even before they were out. I’d like to add that the details of this page have also been removed, looking like a cover-up.

Using the word “Bionicle” in the Lego.com search engine results in a strange “Coming Soon” sign. Then, it mysteriously disappears again (Indicating what I think is yet another attempt at a cover-up).

EDIT: Additionally, typing in “Bionicle.com” would previously redirect you to a Lego.com “page not found” broken link page. However, now it links you to Lego.com’s home page. This typically only happens when the address is related to a current or upcoming line.
Have I missed anything? I think this is pretty substantial information. Considering it’s not just coming from one source. Highlysuspect also represents multiple people, so there are at least 5 different sources (including Lego.com itself), that all hint at or claim that Bionicle is returning.
EDIT #1: Let’s not forget the fact that Hero-Factory is ending. We’ve received no details on a new line, which would be strange. (If it were anything besides Bionicle, TLG would be out there mad-advertising to get hype up for a new theme, like they did with Hero Factory. The only reason they wouldn’t be doing that is if it was Bionicle, which already had a substantial name for itself in the toy-line community, thus requiring less advertising beforehand to build popularity for it).
EDIT #2:Lego.com removed it’s “Bionicle isn’t coming back” topic on the Lego Message Boards. Claiming that they’re just ‘cleaning up.’ But why clean it up now, in the months before 2015 when we’ve already got several sources saying Bionicle is coming back?
EDIT #3: Something that may not be as important. Greg is becoming more and more open with the fan community. Soon after Bionicle ended, he pretty much fell off the face of the planet. Now, sometime in early 2014, he comes back. And not only that, he’s here to answer your Bionicle-related questions. He talked about how he had forgotten much of what he had written and planned. Perhaps this was his way of re-introducing himself to the line, and reacquainting himself with the story again, to get the juices flowing as he prepares for the new stuff he’ll be involved with? This one is a lot more speculative, but something to take note of nonetheless.
Anyone else think that a Energized-Protodermis-Entity/Morbuzakh-esqe antagonist will appear at some point in Bionicle Gen-2? It wouldn’t be difficult to incorporate, as it’d require no sets.
