That I can agree with. It could use more friction or something. From what I’ve seen it flops too much.
The problem is that I don’t think it’s even possible to add friction to the function, but I can’t say it with absolute certainty.

If there isn’t, that is a shame.
Don’t get me wrong, I love these new functions, but I also like being able to display them easily. That was the appeal of the 2015 and 2016 Toa: Functionality that worked with pose abilities. It seems Storm Beast is lacking more in the “posing” part.
It’s kind of funny how Storm Beast has basically no friction, and Ekimu seems to have the stiffest gear box since Onua 2015, especially considering that his hammer isn’t all that big.

Yeah, there was no reason they needed to do that. The two smaller gears would have worked just fine again.

Granted it’s unnecessary, but it’s still nice to have. Personally, I like a lot of friction in my sets…but I suppose it’s whatever tickles your fancy
There are a few points where you can add friction. but the tradeoff is that you could dislocate the arms.
I do approve of its uniqueness, but I think whoever designed it went a bit too ‘function over form,’ so to speak. I’m not quite sure what SB is supposed to represent. I would love to see a version of the marionette function applied to UtD, what with the potential play value of a titan set with giant arms that could be moved around better, although obviously with more friction having to be implemented.

I’m just gonna slap a gearbox on him. Only drawback is that the shoulders will be 2 modules wider.
Or not, the solution might stress a hordika neck because it’s connected to the mechanism with just one axle.
Umarak’s shoulder’s are 13 modules wide so using 5 long long axle with a stopper isn’t enough, this can be however done by using a 4long axle with a stopper and attaching a hordika neck to that.
Trust me, it doesn’t. Especially if you put the Ice Mask in the tail: the tiny bit of extra weight balaces the arms and tail perfectly.
Also, for those still wondering: you can’t flip the jaw upside down. Not even without the mask on.

Just for the sake of argument, I’ll suggest that maybe SB could have been mistakenly put as a TRU exclusive on the Product details, which is why he was listed as exclusive on the site.
But I’m beginning to doubt my own argument…

Changes are it’s true, but far from being a store exclusive, rather than it’s just not as widely distributed.
You would expect the list to have huge SW ships only and that stuff there’s lot of cheap stuff here that I don’t think ever has been mentioned to be an exclusive

This is the category for Lego exclusives on TRU’s site. It contains all of the sets that are marked as exclusives currently. If you use the site search it will more then likely cram other Lego sets and products with some relation to the word exclusive.
thank lego LB is not an exclusive set, it’s the only set im going to get this wave

I just wanted to point out something about LB’s corrupted version of Tahu’s Mask of Unity. It’s a lot like his infected Hau Nuva from 2003. though maybe not intentional, that’s a pretty nice throwback.

I think they took the concept of the infected hau (and infected masks in general) and implemented them as early as the 2015 summer wave with the Skull villain’s corrupted masks, though yes, now that the melding is trans green this wave, the similarities are more apparent

The 2015 Summer Wave masks were drained, not corrupted. The 2016 Summer Wave masks ARE corrupted, and it’s apparent by them all having the same coloration.
