I’d say Pohatu’s more Sulfur-like. Topaz is too yellow/orange for Pohatu. Onua’s definitely an Amethyst.

Well, the masks dont have their names on them so they got mask plague due to not having the proper licence for use.
And yes, the powered up villains do look nice when you place them side-by-side.

What aren’t Storm Beast’s claws like Ikir’s talons? Why didn’t they just use that, it still has the protector feet, too.

Does anyone else have to beg their parents before you can buy anything Lego related? Especially Bionicle sets these days for me, as I don’t buy many action figures anymore.

Personally I think the skull spider claws look better and more menacing, they also grab masks more tightly. From my experience with my MOCup of Storm beast if you put all the fingers around the mask it can pull it off without bending the claws, and even hold it after being popped off.

anyway building environments is a smart idea, if you wanna save a little money, the non-visible patches should be filled with Duplo or Quatro. Learned that trick from a Jang video. that way your diorama won’t cost like twice as much as it needs to be

I still find it weird that Kopaka and Melum are in one set, but it makes sense with regards to Melum, as it’s very similar to Terak. Which would mean I think that it wouldn’t sell well otherwise.

To rephrase, I was wondering if Ikir’s feet as a whole could be used as Storm Beast’s hands, but if Storm Beast’s claws can grab better, then nevermind I guess.

So, after buying the summer sets for myself and getting a feel for them, I can definitely say they are all quite amazing, imo. Quake Beast is still gappy 'n such, but in person, it’s really not that bad compared to that one other set with a similar gimmick cough cough Bruiser cough cough. Overall I really like all the sets, even though they all do have their flaws. I already knew I’d love UtD, Ekimu, and Lava Beast, but my opinion of Storm and Quake beast has since improved greatly after building them.
My only major complaint is that the colors of the Kopaka mask are blended very poorly, almost the entire mask is yellow when only the top should be.
I kinda wish they had made beasts to match up with the other 3 Toa, but these guys are still good enough. 
also, Ekimu being $15 and UtD being $25 is such a steal.

I mean, it’s not as bad as I’ve seen other people have, but all the Kopaka masks I’ve seen have been more yellow than they should be. And the Tahu and Onua masks are blended better than their original counterparts, too! 
I’m not sure if it’s just my version or what, but my corrupted Unity Mask of Fire is blended perfectly. Same with the Unity Mask of Earth, but all 3 variants of that mask this year have been blended very well.
