Personally I like that the Kopaka masks have more Trans neon green than they should have, makes me think Kopaka has been more infected than the others.

Happened to me in school. 16 and still played with toys. By my senior year people grew up and stopped but it still happened.

Having the actual mold in hand, I can say that Kopaka’s infected mask is a lot better than the others. In fact, Onua’s and Tahu’s are pretty much garbage. Kopaka’s actually looks poisonous and off, while Tahu’s infected mask just gives him… like… fire hair, and Onua’s trans lime placement is just… there. I sincerely wish the trans lime was a lot more dominant on their masks, because I really like the poisoned feel of the infected MoI. Oh well.

Eh - not really. I get the vibe we’ve grown attached to seeing him as Yellow, and that’s why we’re not as much of a fan of him in other colours. Similar to if we end up with a set next year that is trans-red and later we see that its meant to be trans-purple in the show - which could happen with Makuta

We get it, you hate Ketar. Hating Ketar is the thing you do. Its become a meme in itself. Ketar apparently sucks to the extent where whenever its mentioned you respond. Seen you riding that since everyone had valid complaints to now when anyone trying to claim a set is bad is just doing so because of the idea of jumping on the bandwagon.
Blu wasn’t even saying that Quake Beast was worse than Ketar, they were just saying that Quake Beast is the worst of the wave similar to how you view Ketar as the worst of the previous wave.

No, it isn’t being a hipster to like a set, its called having a varying opinion. Which used to be something that people could have about sets such as Ketar. Everyone should be entitled to an opinion on the set instead its dismissed and comments such as this are made about the user themselves.
Blu was not claiming that she liked Ketar before anyone else or anything that would designate it the opinion of a hipster. This was there honest thoughts on the set which they just wanted to express.

Seeing as (trans) neon green seems to be the theme colour for corruption and all this year, it would make sense for Umarak to have it (Since he well, was corrupted and mutated). Plus I generally liked it on him.

Also, update on the Bionicle situation in local area. They’ve begun stocking the summer wave of sets including the Marvel sets and a few of the Nexo Knights, apparently they are going to be stocking the Bionicle sets however they have quite a lot of the Star Wars CCBS sets they are still trying to get rid of - so i guess they’ll try passing off them first.
Yeah, don’t get me wrong, i think the change works here. The colour scheme was a bit jarring to begin with but after seeing the box art and the idea that it appears to be some sort of corrosive substance or something, i think its grown on me a bit.
I think the change works, just personally i think that we probably would have grown accustomed to whatever colour they had given us - in addition i feel that maybe seeing the same colour scheme as his hunter form would have helped for younger fans to tell that its the same character in a different form (Though i suppose the set name does that)

well I would have prefered a trans purple umarak but yellow works more for me than green.

Yeah but,
Umarak (more prominent in his Destroyer form) has a lot of black on him. If they did use the normal trans green, I imagine he would like kinda bland, and a lot of his features wouldn’t be very prominent. I feel as though the trans-neon does a better job at , well, not making him bland-looking (out in my opinion he would still look cool either way)

But each prominent villain (Makuta, Kulta and Umarak) has worn each Legendary Mask of Power at least once.

But the thing you seem not to understand isn’t that I think anyone that thinks a set is bad is just on a bandwagon, it’s that certain people are. But hey, easier to generalize, am I right? I disagree. It just wouldn’t look poisonous, in fact, it’d look oddly regal. That just wouldn’t sit well at all. That’s something that should be saved for Makuta alone (not to mention the gold head would stick out a lot more on a purple UtD than it does on the trans lime Umarak).
(Also, the testosterone is so real in this topic)
