In all seriousness, though, I’m kind of annoyed by the late release date. Oh well. At least we got the Summer sets early!
Speaking of the Summer sets, I agree that the combiner looks preliminary, and I agree that there looks to be some illegal connections, based off of the photo. What I can say, though, it looks wicked! I don’t usually use that type of adjective, but it’s just really neat. I liked the package one, but this one is just as cool, if not more. I like how the legs are armored up, especially how Storm Beast’s hands are used at the top. Funnily enough, Lava Beast’s “wings” actually look more like wings here. The mace looks thrown on, but tail’s a nice addition. The colors though, it’s a little too skittle-ish for my liking. I guess it’s just an alternate model, or a preliminary.

Nah but in all seriousness, I love the current media support model (Assuming it keeps up like this). Prehistory is done through graphic novels, current events outside of the toa through books and the toa’s journey through tv.

Though yeah, never use Walmart as a way to judge the sets. They tend to use borderline or simply illegal methods to ensure that they are making a profit even if they are selling things at prices that low.
Not really shocking… Only thing of note is the release date of the end of July - i guess by that stage (end of July, start of September) we should have some form of information start appearing as to whether Bionicle will continue into 2017 as originally planned.
By ‘season 2’ they basically mean the conclusion of the current season (season 1) - its just Netflix tries to market things by claiming them as season/series 1 or season/series 2. This makes new releases or additions seem more special than they really are. Advertising something as a series makes it sound like it has a lot of episodes and advertising it as the ‘#’ series implies it is doing well enough to warrant another series - therefore a subtle way of encouraging sign-ups.
We already had confirmation by several sites ages ago that we would be getting a four episode season 1, the prequel episode not being counted amongst these, so hopefully people realise that by Netflix claiming it to be a season 2 - they actually just mean its the second half of season 1.

Pics like this were already discovered at toy fair ever since they set the beasts incorrectly, however if anything, this mistake actually improves the beast’s look imo.
On a side note about JTO, I’m not too bothered it’s coming out til july 29, I’ll just consider it a slightly delayed birthday gift, what I am most curious about is how the story turns out and also how different the beasts will be from the sets.

Actually, when you put the mask on like that, it fits pretty well. The lower jaw has indentations that allow the mask to sit nice and cozy at a closed illegal connection, makes me wonder of that might have been intentional.

It fits very tightly, almost as if it was attched normally if not tighter, and still looks pretty well, but I doubt it was intentional, regardless a very nice method to close the mouth.

While the release of JtO is after my birthday, it is also premiering one day after I end my last course for the summer! This is sure to be a gift for completing my classes!

However it is probably preliminary or just a messup. Nothing on Quake Beast can cover those legs like that, and I don’t think the Beast masks are able to get on Umarak’s head like that without just relying on pure luck and balance.

I think its one of those weird not real combos, that things like lego club magazine make for sets, that werent designed by the people who make the sets. For instance a few times, Lego Club has advertised making non-canon star wars ships out of star war sets. I would like to see a may high quality photo in order to see what hose large purple chunks are, but my guess is that their upside down rip cage pieces with one being incorrectly colored.

I think the combo model is actually surprisingly easy to make - the only thing that is slightly difficult to determine is how Lava Beast’s head attaches to the top of the Mask Of Control.
- The purple bit at the back is just Quake Beast’s arm
- The wings are just straight-up transferred from Lava Beast
- Storm Beast provides the upper leg armour, the knee pads (made from his hands) and a tail
- The purple bits on the legs are simply skull rib cages
I actually have a similar lower leg set-up at the moment for my own version of Doomarak i have been working on. Its surprisingly easy to do
All you need is the rib piece, a blue pin and one of those beam/joint pieces. Just attach the blue pin as shown here;
Then keeping it the same direction as depicted attach it to the gap above the joint on Umarak The Destroyer’s leg, in the top free slot. You can then attach the rib piece and you should be able to angle it enough to line-up with the bohrok eye piece on the leg.

…I dun goofed. Oh well. Anyway, I have yet to get Gali and Ketar. I think I’m slowly beginning to like Gali a bit more than I did before. I think it’s the dark trans-blue tbh. I don’t have much of an opinion on Ketar, though. He seems ok for now.
