And aren’t the arms just Umarak’s?

For those interested and those who live in the Netherlands, I found the magazine. I found them in a local Bruna complete with polybag and all. Everything was translated to Dutch as well.

I’m actually kinda suprised to find the magazine here in the Netherlands seeing as how little presence Bionicle has here, heck, we don’t even have the summer sets in stores here yet.

Yes, Walmart is one of the most impatient markets out there. They always seem to want to make a quick buck, instead of waiting for the sales.

They appear to be, yes.

The main gimmick of this combiner seems to be take everything that looks somewhat cool from the sets and transfer them to Umarak The Destroyer - or at least the weapons and some of the armour.

Then maybe in the story (if it’s there) that’s what it’ll be- a literal fusion.

But Quake Beast only has one purple ribcage piece.

Oh- so then how can this even exist in general? I don’t think it can.

Might just be a goof.

Maybe it will be one blue and purple chest Plate? But if that’s true the rest of the model is symmetrical (and it I’ll get me mad of its not lol it looks good) but I can’t see them doing that either. This is what makes me think this was a Doomarak prelim.

I think I know the real reason it’s fake.

Look at the top of Umarak’s head, what’s that mask piece doing on the Mask of Control? I don’t think a beast head could fit on Umarak’s head so perfectly.

Yeah, I suspected the same. But it was in a magazine, so it’s probably real. There’s so many problems with it though, it’s not even funny. I still think it’s,a prelim Doomarak.

Man this DVD is going to be lame because it is only the first three episodes. Also what is the Universal logo doing there? Also what does volume one mean we are so confused. Why am I asking so many questions?

Chances are high it is probably a ‘goof’ as mentioned - I’d guess it is meant to be a purple ribcage piece (Quake Beast) and a blue ribcage piece (Storm Beast)

It still very well could be a preliminary design for Doomarak. I’m just relaying them as ‘ribcage pieces’ because that is how they look to me ><

Answering these to clear-up things. My thoughts may not be the definitive answers, but hopefully a general idea;

Probably a distributor or connected to the series somehow.

It means it only has the Winter Wave of episodes (The prologue and the two episodes)

A ‘volume 2’ will presumably be released at some point containing the next two episodes along with some bonus

You asked two questions, three if we count this one, not really many :stuck_out_tongue: But yeah you are asking questions likely out of curiosity and a desire for knowledge about something you are interested in :stuck_out_tongue:

No those are going to be call Season 2 look it up. So the volumes make no sense.

I’ve been waiting for one one to say this!!! This is what I’ve been trying to say! Thanks!

Still thinks he look better than the real Doomarak we got.

Personally this looks a lot messier than the one we got. Granted that the actual doomarak is just UTD but taller, and with a few slapped on details, but this combo model looks unnecesarily cluttered, the SB hands in the legs, the QB arm in the back, it and the even smaller wings just don’t work for me.

I already actually responded to you pointing out why Netflix labelling it as ‘season 2’ is an inaccurate marketing tactic.

Netflix is just promoting the next two episodes of season one as being ‘season two’ in order to make it seem more popular. If a show is seen getting a second season then people will think the first season was good enough to warrant a second. If however they just add more episodes to the season at a later date then it doesn’t have as much fanfare.

All other media we’ve seen relating to Journey To One refers to it as a season comprising of four episode (plus a prologue).

The DVD release views it as a single season also this way also taking the first two episodes and the prologue and releasing it under the mantle of ‘season one, volume one’. A ‘volume two’ would include the remaining two episodes.

In essence;

  • Netflix’s ‘season 2’ is actually just the second half of the season
  • The DVD’s volume 1 comprises presumably of the first two episodes of the season plus the prologue
  • The DVD’s volume 2 will presumably be comprised of the last two episodes of the first season

Only aspect i feel works better is the potential ribcage on lower legs. I’ve actually done this with my modded version and i feel it helps cover some of the gaps while also continuing the 'black and yellow segmented design.
