The problem is that this is only a temporary solution. Many people were throwing around the same idea back in 2010, and look at how stagnant the Bionicle fandom became afterwards. We can only make so many MOCs and only so many fanfictions.
If it makes you feel any better I’m writing a script for something right now. It’s not necessarily a “fanfict”. But yeah this guys got right.
@Irrie Correction: Actually we can make so many MOCs as there are still new Lego pieces coming out every year.
Guys, cheer up, we can overcome this, here, I have something to share with you guys(and gals) A friendly reminder of a distant era:
Temporary it may be, but doing nothing except wallowing in despair and self-pity is permanent. I get that it failed last time, but if you don’t succeed…
At the very least, it’s a step in a more passive and happy direction, and lasting solutions could arise from it, if we put our minds to discovering them.
Holy crap…
I just watched the end of Journey to One. If anyone here hasn’t yet seen it, go watch it.
The nostalgia and the message in this time is really inspiring. While short lived, this is the best ending the story could have had!
Thanks, Bionicle, for being and continuing to be an inspiration in my life!
That’s a good thought.
And I agree, I’m so happy BIONICLE got a TV show. Thanks for the good thoughts.
I kinda wanna continue the story in some way, like an epilogue or something. If I do get around to it, I’ll post chapters in the Literature category. I still feel like G2 was too short, and JtO’s ending did give us a bit of freedom in terms of story.
This Generation was really enjoyable and I’m glad it happened, even if it was a brief moment.
(Joke obviously)
Finally I can connect the two generations with no LEGO to stop me, muahahhaha!

You shoukd show the fan made continuation we’re doing on ttv, sounds like you’d enjoy it
I’m in!
I’ve already been writing a Lego mega crossover for some time.
I have to say, after hours of watching the reaction to this news on other sites as well as this one, we are clearly more positive about it. I know that this is a tough time, and that I’ve been harping on positivity for the last few posts I’ve made, but overall, we are doing the better job of staying positive. For that, I’m proud of everyone here.
My 2016 so far :
- GF betrayal
- Dark Souls ends
- Bionicle gets discontinued

Count me in, I even was thinking in making a Bionicle series on my youtube channel. It will take so much time, because, well if I want it to be decent, is going to take so much time. (I’m doing a separate video, but because of how much it has it tooked 1 day to make 1 minute!)
So… Since LEGO confirmed we’re not getting a mask of ultimate power… Anyone gonna make one in blender?
Side note, the world’s supposed to end today! Woohoo!
So. Here we are. Again.
I’d be lying if I said I’m not disappointed.
But Bionicle had a good run this time around, with a proper ending and at last its own TV series. Though I feel sad about the line’s discontinuation, I’m also happy with G2 and the Bionicle Team’s hard work and amazing effort. These two years of Bionicle have been, to me, greater than anything I could’ve asked of the line.
That said, I’ll stick around on the boards, keep track of the comings and goings, maybe help Tarvaax and ThatGuyAtTheEndOfTheRoad and the others with the TTV continuation, if I prove to be competent at anything.
In the meantime, I treasure what I have and mourn for what could have been.
I may be over the fact that it’s cancelled(I almost literally cried shut up) but I will never get over nor will I ever forgive Lego for not giving us a Makuta set with the Mask of Ultimate Power especially after dangling it in front of our noses.
Did Makutafest already happen? Even so, I would like to suggest another such event for the end of Bionicle, as a fan tribute send off.
A interesting idea, I would love to do such a thing, but I have no clue how it would go.
Not so bothered about the cancellation if I’m completely honest, as I don’t think I would have continued with the series much longer. I do feel bad for those who would have stayed, however. I just wish they’d release a Makuta set, as I was planning on keeping it built and displaying it, as I’ve never had a Makuta set before though I always wanted one.
Oh well, at least G2 was fun while it lasted; it rejuvenated my interest in Lego and introduced me to this community
Easy, ether fans saying their regards, or fan videos, or pictures, anything really showcasing our love for the Line in a send-off kinda way.
