LEGO made the decision to cancel the theme at the beginning of the year, just in time for the sets to come out. What we thought were awful sales were just stores trying to get rid of inventory of a theme that they found out was ending only a little bit after they bought the stock in the first place. It was actually the effect of LEGO’s decision, which led to the cause of use thinking the theme wasn’t selling well.
Have you scene my profile picture.
I’m mainly targeting the 2015 sets, but the beast of 2016 are horrible, my god the legs of those beast makes me question if they now stopped trying again after the Uniters.
Well there something we both can agree on, sense the smooth armor could work with those, but hopefully it doesn’t do the same mistake as with 2015, and at least have a different torso build and armor. (Would be great if they bring back the drilldozer upper torso armor)
(this is a reply from shadarm sense something went wrong that is not letting him reply)
It has more to offer* to the average or bad moc-er, someone who wants to build a detailed moc is not going to use something simple that clicks together unless it is a big moc.
What you said made no sense what so ever, putting the sets on clearance is bad for business, clearance means the sets are not selling, no one is buying them.
Wow, bad mocers use CCBS parts. It’s cool. You have your own opinion, I got my own. I’m not gonna put you down for having your own opinion.
I like the beasts. They may have problems but their unique and have nice functions. In my opinion.
That’s no reason to put a set on clearance. For example: If BIONICLE sold well at Target, but LEGO then told them that there wouldn’t be a 2017 wave, Target wouldn’t just say “OMG get rid of everything now!!” and put it on discount. They would slowly sell out their remaining stock to make back their money.
Plus, that doesn’t explain why there is such an overstock of Winter 2015 sets. The Toa Masters and Protectors should’ve left shelves months ago, yet they’re still hanging around at many TRUs–at heavily discounted prices, too.
At least a lot of people got to enjoy some high quality sets tho!
Oh, absolutely. The sets were top notch, and I would never argue with that. ![]()
Unique you could say, but the design are a not, Quake and Storm beast may have nice function, but they stick out and the legs aren’t good. Uniqueness and function doesn’t make a good design and set.
(from Shendar, still something not allowing him to post)
I honestly hate to be this way but it is bothering me.
Scene is seen in the context you used it, the correct use is they’re not their and you didn’t have to put a period before “In my opinion” just put a comma and don’t capitalize the i.
Ok Ok, it’s just my opinion, no need not get so fed up about someone liking something you don’t like.
You can’t tell that someone is being fed up in text, but saying “it’s my opinion”, doesn’t mean it can’t be challenge with someone else’s opinion.
Alrighty, makes sense. I guess G2 did sell pretty bad then. At least a lot of people got to enjoy some high quality sets tho!
So many great sets. I’m just missing Quake Beast. Also a set I do not mind and look forward to eventually getting.
True but we’re are talking about a toyline. Something that is made to entertain children. Wait why are we arguing like a bunch of school kids on the playground. We’re not talking about real issues like religion or politics (which are banned from the message boards.) We’re talking about toys are are not made for us. Kids will buy whatever they want whether the quality. No Kid cares about color or design or whether it look feminine or not (I actually thought Rookaka was a man when I bought her, I was 6.) They care about having fun, playing around, and having fun adventures while playing with them on the carpet. I don’t care about what people think about Bionicle G2. I like the sets, my sister like the sets, even my 10 year old cousin and her sisters like the sets. So you can’t say that people thought that this was just a hero factory rehash and that no kid cared about these sets, even though that is a small minority. I mean if kid cared about set design then why is Super Heroes doing so well.
Why are we arguing over something that has basically no importance. Like those fanboys who wanted Rotten Tomatoes shut down because of some negative Suicide Squad rating.
Oh wow. That’s mature.
Oh yeah! And my uncle works at nintendo!
Cite your sources will ya?
Look, dude. It’s called an opinion. You ever heard of it? It’s this lovely thing that changes between people.
Bionicle G2 as a whole didn’t do that great, not because it’s “ripping off hero factory”, but because of how it was marketed… which is to say it wasn’t. But even putting that aside, who even cares how well it did? If you don’t like the sets, don’t buy them. But for those of us who did like them, why do you care if we enjoyed the sets? Can you not accept that not everyone has to like the same things you do?
Oh, and one last thing…
You can’t tell that someone is being fed up in text,

We can. It’s not that hard.
Just ignore them, they are clearly here to bother people.
Mm, true. Let me rephrase that, then: Given that we were told the line was intended to last for three years, the only “business reasons” to end it before that predicted time would be if something about Bionicle G2 simply wasn’t working. “Experimenting with improving CCBS” or something else like that wouldn’t have caused them to shut everything down so abruptly and not even give us the final Makuta set.
Maybe some AFOL at corporate Lego said, “Ugh! Bionicle, what is this doing back here? I thought it was canceled back in 2010. We need to cancel this right now. This goes against everything Lego stands for.”
Eh. I don’t really see that being an actual scenario tbh.
I feel like this topic has gone way out of hand and that everyone needs to cool down. While I don’t agree with the argument against the second generation of Bionicle or baseless accusations, constantly arguing clearly isn’t going to make things better anytime soon.
I enjoyed the second generation a lot, however I think Lego could’ve handled the line better. I loved how much better the sets got, even if it’s just a span of two years, and I loved the return of functions in a new system and thought it was clever.
It… it was a joke.
Kids under the age range of 10 would, but it wouldn’t make it without the other demographic. When it come to something to make a big theme like Ninjago, Nexo Knight and Bionicle, having all demographic is important. Bionicle Failure was a small community and very small amount of people outside of the community vs. a million.
@Mayple
You do know I’m someone who call out idiocy, like The Fandom Menace and the commentary community. Plus I take it that you haven’t seen my commentary videos.
And how can I do that, I and eveyone don’t record themselfs 24/7.
As I said, opinion can be challenge, like feminist vs. anti-feminist.
And lol, are you related to those people who say “don’t like it, don’t watch”, plus I’m a mocest, so I need to buy them to make some MOC.
Also sure you can, meanwhile I’m playing roblox with my friends, go to reblox on ToaSaido
say hi ![]()
