come on guys you scared that man, the poor guy was just tring to do a review
wait, how do we know that it was taken down by LEGO? Looks like the channel was for promoting the kid actor via demo reels and stuff he’s been in and such.
We never resolved what that picture of Mata Nui on the leaked poster meant.
I might remain a mystery. Or it was fake all along and just made to stir up fans.
I think someone got their hands on the leak first and then edited that in to screw with the community.
But if you already have the leak why would you put something to mislead the community. I would be like putting the mask of life on the 2015 leaks… oh wait.
It’s was most likely just a “hidden” easter egg, just like the Vahi
Some men just want to watch the world burn
or like screwing with people.
Go to the G1-G2 Connection Topic.
I have a few reasons on why it was on the poster.
Can you link it?
heh, who would do such a thing …
That poster was G1 levels of edgey. If only the Toa were as serious story wise as they look in that poster…
They just look so experienced.
I realized something:
I haven’t united a single 2016 Toa in months. The unity feature just got stale and a bit boring after a while.
Do you guys have the same issue, or is it just me?
I do it all the time. It’s the gear functions on the 2015 sets that got stale for me. You can only get so much pleasure from moving an arm up and down again and again, compared to what is essentially a form change.
Since I’m more of a displayer I just keep a lot of them united all the time. I don’t find the actual “unity” gimmick that fun but fiddling around with the gear functions on the creatures is pretty neat.
The gear functions are fun when actually PLAYING with them. They’re not so fun if you just take them off the shelf and fiddle with them for a while. Actually battling with them is the reason they have the function. It’s to rip off the masks!
This may seem a bit far-fetched, but just hear me out…
What if the leaked poster was made before LEGO made the decision to cancel the line, and they were planning some kind of full-on G1 connection, and wanted to introduce Mata Nui into the story in 2016? Then when they learned BIONICLE was cancelled, they took it off the poster because they didn’t want to mislead fans, which would explain why it isn’t on the final poster.
This isn’t so unbelievable, because they DID introduce a new island in 2016: the island that the Labyrinth of Control was on.
You know, the island that had a mysterious connection to the Toa? The island that made Lewa say “I know that place”? The island that has the Toa’s names and symbols marked on walls and floors? And I mean, we never saw what the island looks like from an aerial view…
I personally don’t think this is so unbelievable. With things like the Vahi, it seems like they were definitely going to establish a G1 connection…But the theme was cancelled before they could go through with their plans.
It works well with the Skull Villains for sure, but the Toa had very clunky weapons that were a pain to use with the function. I think as far as play goes, uniting is a lot more fun, solely because it gives them additional abilities and powers while making them look cool in the process.
That’s just my opinion though.
I mean, it was introduced, but it was also always there. Off the coast of the Region of Jungle.
I do think there was going to be some G1 connection but regarding the poster I don’t think Mata Nui was going to show up in G2. I think it was either a fan prank or a placeholder for something else that was cut.
Why is ever big landmark in G2 connected to the region of jungle. The mask makers city was north to the Jungle region and the Labyrinth of Control was off the coast of the The Region of Jungle.
