Okay, I’ll pull a picture of him up on LEGO.com

Edit: Already had one up.

Edit 2: Like my new profile picture?

There doesn’t have to be. Just order online. I ordered on the website earlier this year and still got the Hau.

I kinda like tahu’s weapons as fire shears

I just want these sets in my hands to “fix” them xD

this is how I would have done gali’s limbs

The poly bag is unique to that month I believe. I think maybe the Hau polybag was unique to Bionicle too, but I’m not sure. Regardless, it will appear in your basket, so you’ll know what you’re getting before you pay.

Normally LEGO has leftover polybag stock, so they send it out to retailers.

Or at least, that is what I have found.

I feel like that centralizes the orange too much.

Though the leg proportions are much better.

Yeah, the orange needs spread out. I am personally looking forward to MODing these sets, seeing how much work needs done.

I’ve pull the images out from the online catalog, in case anyone is interested.

2015 bonus! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Well that’s nice to have pictures of the 2016 sets and descriptions in English. Yea!

I love these artistic renderings of the Masters and the Uniters. Take note Lego, this is how you do an upgrade. If this was the styling for G2 I would be a happy man. Credit to @cat (I think that’s Just a drawing cat’s name here.)

Thats the look i would like for the netflix series, but i also want them to look Biomechanical, these drawings makes them look too robotic.

[/quote]Ugh I disagree. They look wayyy too samey. In this case you could just order the “new” parts off of bricklink and not have to buy the new sets because they’re so similar!

If I buy a set, it can’t be the same as the old one. It needs to be different. Otherwise I’m wasting money on a slightly improved version of a set I already have. That was my major issue with the Toa Nuva. Not to mention these sets cost $15-$20 a pop. No, I completely disagree with you.

Edit: It’d be comparable to buying a “new” iphone every year. The differences are so minimal and trivial that the only TRUE upgrade you’ll get compared to the first iteration will be after three whole iterations come to pass. That’s just a waste.

Only in armoring.

Even with the sets, compare the armor pieces and masks of 2015 and 16 alone and you’ll see that they’re fairly similar. In some places even exactly the same, like Lewa’s upper legs.

The main difference in actuality is the build of the skeleton. Cat’s drawings simply take a stylistic choice to have only one base skeleton for each character. In fact in-story it’s likely that they simply get new armor from Ekimu.

But LEGO sells sets, not stories, and the main differences in the sets are the builds. That simply wasn’t what Cat wanted to capture with these drawings.

Let’s get @Kahi’s thoughts on that in here.

Also, I’d be totally down for same-y sets that I could just Bricklink the parts for. Would save on set costs for me.

(Except I love Lego and those darn boxes oh too much).

I could jump on the samey set bandwagon if LEGO perhaps decided to just sell the new armoring for each Toa in like… cool booster packs, while still having the same initial Toa for sale in stores, so that you could “upgrade” them each year without having to buy a new set while kids could still get the set and the upgrade without having to worry about not being able to get that set in future years while they’re still relevant.

@Tarvaax I was referring to the proprtions and styling. Of course the biggest difference between sets would be the builds, but I feel the styling of these Uniters are much better than what was produced. They keep a lot of recognisable traits but still look fresh, which is the optimal upgrade philosophy in my opinion.

Nah, I’m with him. I wouldn’t buy a 6S if I had a 6. I was excited to go from the 5 to the 6S, which is a huge leap, but ever since Jobs died Apple’s stopped being truly innovative.

That being said, I feel like they did kind of stray from the 2015 sets. I feel like they tried to take too much inspiration from the Nuva (silver = upgrade), but instead missed why people liked the Nuva.

hey, could someone make a recoloration on Umarak where in he has the same silver style as the toa, by that i mean that all of Umarak’s green is now in silver, i just want to see how Umarak would look like in that style.
