If I get Gali, I’m going to giver her the same upper leg armoring as 2015 Gali and add friction extenders to her arms.
That ought to add more femininity and fix her proportions.

Anyway, back on topic, looking at the side-by-side comparisons by @Hydraxilos, I must say, I like that the new 2016 Toa look sharper, and less smooth, due to the greebling. I also like that they don’t look so square-ish. They look more like a human and less like a box with legs. Lewa2015 was particularly bad.

I disagree. I think that the 2015 Toa had better proportions and were more human-like overall than the 2016 Toa
I agree with you about the proportions. I for one am a stickler for proportions. However, the 2015 Toa had smooth, blocky CCBS, especially the chestplate. The 2016 Toa are, as I said, sharper and more “curvular”.

Oh, I think that the 2016 toa have better proportions but they definitely do not look more human. Also how do you get that lime with a toa mask as your picture?

Pohatu looks much better in this review, probably because of the poses. This time the custom arms really strut their stuff. Still have my issues on the colors and whatnot, but as a standalone set Pohatu seems pretty solid. He’s probably the only Toa who looks worse in his Creature combo though, which is a shame. I think I’ll pick him up if I feel the need.
Wow! I read the review about an hour or two ago, but I got to say, I really like him! His armoring and colors have their pros and cons, but I really like the three browns. After I revamp him to my tastes, he will be really nice.

Ketar is the worst thing I’ve ever seen… Ever.
Seriously, this set is a complete disaster of colors, and his build isn’t that great either. And that unity with pohatu is god-awful, it really does look like ketar smashed onto his back and can’t move any more.

Pohatu looks great, but the one major gripe I have with him (and the rest of the toa) is his arm to body size ratio. The proportions are absolutely terrible, with their wrists barely even coming down to their thighs. It just looks completely unnatural and makes them look much less threatening. That body should have definitely been shorter, or the arms should have been much longer.
