Ha poor melum I noticed that lego put him in a wrong position so we are missing some of him if u save it it turns black and lego had a outline to put melum in its a funny editing mistake
Looking at this, it’s easy to see how much more “BIONICLE” these things are already becoming. This is like what happened with HF, the line is just now coming into it’s own.
P.S. I’m super pumped to see this evolution take place in Journey to One.

It’s either Ekimu is gonna give them new armor, or they’re gonna transform into Nuva via some power juice (AKA protodermis) like the original Nuva.
I have a feeling we’ll see the former.

Admittedly, I just wanted to get people to remember these drawings because they made me laugh so hard…
I don’t have photoshop, so it’ll be a white till we get to see these rough sketches on the actual 2016 Toa.
Could somebody change the finalized Toa’s faces to match these?
Am I the only one who still finds these funny?
If so, then I don’t care.

Pohatu and Lewa seemed to work pretty well, but I absolutely LOVE how Gali turned out.
And the big guys too!
Onua required some reproportioning of the original sketch in order to fit it over his real mask properly; I’ll put a version with the proper proportions on the original sketch right below just in case anyone wanted it.

Has anyone noticed that uniter tahu’s lower arms use the exact same pieces as master tahu’s forearms?
Other than that, Gali an Pohatu have the best unity combo: the first is very unique, the latter can be rearranged in a lot of different ways.
Also Umarak… Wow… Just wow.
Lewa is still good, except for its arms.
Kopaka is good, the gun is useless imo but the sword looks beautiful.
Tahu and Onua… meh… Onua at least is cooler when combined. I feel no need to buy them except for some of their pieces.

Mods;
- Remove arms of 2016 version replace with Kopaka 2015. This disperses the gold more and would fix the arms making him sleek and bulky
- Flip lower leg armour on 2016 version upsidown so it gets larger as it nears his foot, this would seem like an upgraded version of his 2015 armour
- Replace 2016 blaster arm with a custom shield
Tahu;
Just seems like they made everything gold. Would give him back his back swords from the 2015 version and replace the 2016 chest plate with the 2015 chest.
Gali;
2016 version seems overall like an improvement, though orange seems to detract. Would replace the 2016 chest plate with the 2015 chest plate and remove the orange from the rest of the body.
Lewa;
Seems like an overall improvement, would just switch his 2016 weapons with his 2015 weapons, giving him back his axes.
Onua;
Would replace the 2016 Onua’s shoulders with the 2015 Onua’s shoulders. Replace the 2016’s feet with the 2015’s feet. Remove the hammer and have it as a shoulder cannon
Pohatu;
Would give the 2016 version better upper arms, maybe the one’s from the 2015 version. Other than that he seems like an improvement.

I dunno, It’s kinda grown on me. 
I think he looks fine with all the trans colors. I get people want more solid colors, but I think he looks fine already. At least he isn’t 100% gold.
But these practically are Toa Nuva! Why get rid of his swords if his old Nuva form had them? I get that you prefer the axes, but at least position them more upward so he can hit stuff easier.

Yep, Onua does look the best on his own despite his gappiness his overall design is very well done and the colour scheme is the best.

Its growing on me also, though part of me wants to experiment and see how it looks with just blue and silver. Might look better in person though. 
True, just as long as the next version of Tahu we get isn’t as gold as this version. Feel he’s going to be too similar to Ekimu The Mask Maker (who we get in summer) given that Ekimu will probably end up being a golden toa-like figure. That’s what I’m concerned about, replace the mask with the Mask Of Creation and you could pass this off for Ekimu (If he’s the fire tribe)
Its more to have some differentiation in weaponry and mirroring the 2015 version rather than attempting to mirror the Toa Nuva.
- Tahu goes from flame swords to flame swords
- Pohatu goes from boomerangs to a two-handed spear-thing like Gali
- Gali goes from a trident to a two-handed spear-thing like Pohatu
- Lewa goes from axes to two jungle swords
- Onua goes from a hammer to a hammer drill stud launcher
- Kopaka goes from a lance and shield to a sword and stud launcher
I don’t mind Kopaka, Tahu or Onua as much, changing there weapons would mostly be for personal preference. Though Tahu, Lewa, Gali and Pohatu all have very similar weaponry.
- Tahu is similar to Lewa in terms of weapons, both use dual swords
- Gali is similar to Pohatu both using a dual-handed spear-thing
So my solution is changing Lewa and Pohatu’s weapons to make them seem more unique. They can keep the swords also, Lewa will probably have them built into his back for a flight-mode and Pohatu will have it on his back for storage (similar to how Kopaka stored his lance)

The sets I’m gonna buy are Lewa, Uxar, and Umarak. And maybe Gali and Akida if I have enough money.

By the way I don’t think there would be a thing like “protodermis” that will transform them otherwise we would not have seen the crystal armors in the animations. Unless if Ekimu will do it like Artakha and teleport it onto them through the process. But I doubt it. So I think it will be a simple “forge” upgrade for the Toa.

The reason i like Kopaka’s sword and gun thing is that it evens him out, so that he can both be a close combat fighter and a range fighter, basicly the way i see it is this:
Kopaka slashes the enemies that are to close to him and then when he got some free space, he then shoots the ones who are to far away to be sliced with the sword.
I’m buying them all as well, Kopaka being the first, Gali most likely being the second. Of course if I can just get them all at once, I’m doing that.
Also, here’s how I look at these sets: I like design heavy BIONICLE sets, so this wave is my wave. For the people who liked a smooth futuristic look? 2015 was your year. I think it’s pretty fair this way. Each type of fan should get something aesthetically pleasing to them, and to be against everyone getting a little bit of what they like is to be… well, selfish. I mean, why should one group be happy and the other miserable?
