Someone want an ice old MOCr up in here?
I need it now! Give it now! GIVE IT TO ME RIGHT NOW!!!
So, with all of the reviews I’ve seen everyone focuses on the sets themselves, rather than what can be the most enjoyable part of owning the sets: the building process.
The building process, especially for the creatures, is REALLY enjoyable. I mean, there’s so much going on when building the new sets that you really get immersed in what you’re doing. I’ve really missed that. It brings back those feelings of buying a set and not knowing exactly how everything is going to come together. I almost ended up confused a few times with Akida because her/its build requires a slight asymmetrical detour. If anything, the creatures remind me of my childhood and getting the Nui-rama or the Nui-jaga
Thank you!
Do you mean like, discussing the build, or showing it in a fast-foward type section?
I think he means discussing the build
Discussing the build a bit. Just a quick highlight over who the build would suit and if was generally enjoyable or not. It’s not a mandatory thing and it really doesn’t matter truthfully, but I think it’s a nice little addition to have here and there for people who are into that stuff.
I think Rollout adresess that: https://www.youtube.com/user/RolloutReviews/videos
Alrighty, cool.
(Cause I’m not doing Build-Up this wave. I’ll keep this discussion point in mind for the Recent Reviews).
anyways, on the topic of builds, which builds did you like the most, or the least.
Sometimes, when I look at Ketar, I imagine his head like a lion’s head, his body is, of course, a scorpion, and his blade are like barely-if-at-all functioning wings, like a manticore.
Sounds awesome!
I enjoyed Uxar’s, Akida’s, and Ikir’s. Melums, Ketar’s and Terak’s were okay, but they weren’t anything “spectacular”. I enjoyed Kopaka’s shoulder build, but the way the y-joint connects is a bit iffy in my mind. I wish it had a bit more security. Tahu felt like a direct merge between the gear-box building techniques and the new custom Technic techniques they’ve been using. Lewa was actually an interesting and fun experience altogether. Gali was also pretty fun. Pohatu was kind of eh and felt a bit… underwhelming. His shoulders look pretty bad from the back because of the way they’re attached.
How about Onua and Umarak?
They’re the cream of the crop. I suggest you get both of them as soon as possible and see for yourself.
I don’t really like the idea of him being a centaur. It’s a departure from the Demon-Deer-Wendigo thing he is. He’d honestly lose too much of his character.
What if he still had a tail?
Oh, Alright! Probably should’ve of checked again before said anything.
What if he still had a tail?
From my experience with past sets CCBS tails tend to be… aesthetically DIS-pleasing.
