Oh no, I love that foot. But it is GUNMETAL.
Gun Metal Feet?!
Onua looks incredible! LEGO really did a great job on him!
@SwagMeister That’s the general consensus. For me, Uniter Tahu fixes every problem I had with Master Tahu.
"The 2016 Tahu fixes every issue I had with the 2015 Tahu. His arms were difficult to pose and play with because the shoulder pads would get in the way and go all over the place and I’d just have to pose them back constanty, not to mention the back swords would move all over the place. His mask is also an improvement, as it looks more gruff and angry like it did back in 2001. The vents also stand out better. Finally, the swords aren’t so freaking giant, there aren’t exposed torso ball joints, there isn’t a big gap in between the arms and the torso that was only filled in with a black technic piece that was used to connect his sword holsters, and his lower legs aren’t colliding and making posing hard and awkward due to having bell-bottoms. "
^My thoughts in a nut shell. I don’t care about clashing textures, I’m more about whether the shaping is good and if it looks cool.
I knew that the whole time.
I would imagine so…you don’t tend to hit targets in front of you when you’re shooting backwards
But it looks like the hammer can switch around both ways, so it shouldn’t be a big issue.
EDIT: I find it funny that Onua’s mask was really small last year, and now it’s really big…

Terak looks like a little midget.

Its adorable, really. But all the colors really make him look good. It’s very appealing to the eye.
The only thing I hate is the exposed Ball Joints. C’mon, Lego. You’re better than this. Just make a new piece.

Notice how these guys have one eye instead of two for each side. These guys look like little robots. It’s kinda creepy but cool.
They don’t even need to do that. I’m pretty sure a couple of the smallest CCBS shells (3M?) would cover up the joints well and still allow for the combo.
Man, the functions and Technic really make me nostalgic. I feel like a kid. I didn’t even know that I missed the complexity BIONICLE had at its start until now.
Edit: Terak looks like Bohrok if you fully extend his head outward and push his arms out in an opened up positon. XD
Tahu has essentially kinda slowly slid down my favorites list but that’s not to say he’s bad, just less “good” than back then.
Gonna say right now: some bad coloring. Only 3 actual red pieces and a lot of gold. His legs are straightfoward, but I really wished those feet were red. His thighs are also unnaturally long. 2 units longer than his shins, in fact. The creature torso on the thighs don’t help, either.
His body is good. I like it. No real complaints, except for his pencil-thin neck but then again everyone this year has that issue for whatever reason so I won’t be harsh on it. I will say, those shoulder pads are cool, and some people won’t like it.
Arms are fine. They’re arms. How do you mess up arms?
Weapons are a downgrade in other people’s eyes but here it’s cool, I guess. The 2015 swords were admittedly cooler but the 2016 weapons have no real complaints towards it so there isn’t much harm saying that they suck. Hey, they have functions, neat.
Overall, Tahu seems to have major coloration issues along with another issue- texture cohesion. Then again, the only real texture problem here is the skull add ons and I’ll give a wild guess and say that replacing those with 2015 add ons might make it flow better.
I knew there was something familiar with him! Thanks for pointing that out!
I’ve been wanting complexity with the standard sets back in 2008, and we got it back in small ways in 2015, and now it’s going to it’s greatest.
Really, the use of CCBS and technic really blends well and actually makes the sets look better and much more fun.
Yeah, they look very bonkle.
YES FINALLY !! reviews …
YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHH!!!
Need…more…reviews…
begins watching EB like a hawk
I was just looking for those.
TAHU LOOKS GODLY.
His new mask is amazing. but the gold and trans orange melds to make a off…orange…not sure how to feel…
Tahu’s mask looks more intense now, which is a good thing imo (especially if someone dies and he gets all angsty).
That blue background makes my eyes feel weird when looking at the full Tahu pic, dunno why.
Is there a link to where he uploaded them
Essentially my thoughts as well. He’s slid down to #4 (#5 if he was without Ikir) for me.
IMO he just doesn’t hit me as well as Tahu 2015. I miss the back blades and samurai vibe, and in my eyes it looks like some pieces were chosen for the sake of putting them in rather than design.
I’ve made a few mock-ups trying this out. The 2015 piston addon restricts movement, but the golden Chima pads look quite nice.
*Sees picture while typing.
He’s practically a beanpole like his predecessor!
In all seriousness he looks a bit odder now with the parts about him I did like looking better and the parts I don’t like looking worse. The upper torso gappiness is something I feel the need to fix.
All the more reason for me to get excited for 2016
The masks look amazing, but man, Tahu. You look like you haven’t eaten for a while…
