The lower arms gives him the illusion of a longer neck IMO, which is a characteristic for a deer-like character…

Yes, that is true. He kind of reminds me of the 2015 Animations of Narmoto, The Protector of Fire, in the regard that his arms are hanging low. 
I love Umarak he has a daring jungle like color scheme which works well with the design and background.
I like his bow as well and how he can attach his sword to his upper leg.
Overall he is probably my favorite out of all of them and everything just works so well
Everyone is saying this, and I agree, but it’s seriously easily fixed. Just butcher your 2015 Pohatu and use his burnt orange for 2016. Unless you don’t want to butcher him. Then bricklink!
But for many of these sets, mods are easily done. Many of the complaints are little things that I can see being simply altered to fix.
Kopaka’s gold and metru blue: Use Gali’s crystal pieces, or swap out Melum’s white paws for gold and give him back his 2015 gold shoulder pads. Also, give him his original thigh armor for his arms.
Tahu’s red: Use some of 2015 Tahu’s shells, or remove his upper leg pieces and swap them out for his original armor.
Also, some seriously awesome revamp potential is here in these sets, especially the Creatures.

Has anyone else noticed that on all the toa with rapid shooter there is a wheel containing extra studs on the legs

Off topic. Anyshoot, I figured I’d post my thoughts on the sets since that’s a thing. I’ll be doing them Uniter and Creature together since I’ll be picking them up as sets of two and Kopaka, obviously I have to get his with Melum.
Tahu/Ikir. Okay, realtalk: the guy is a Toa of Fire, not Gold. Still, I don’t feel like this is too much of an issue. The trans orange and red is nice, and really makes him look fiery without Mata red shells or addons. Loving his shoulder armor and mask, as well. My one problem is the weapons looking like things that you have to manually swing up, but that’s no prob to fix with some pins or a rubber band or two. Ikir is as adorable as he was from Day One, and I’ve fallen in love with him. Only problem with him are open ball joints, which are easy to fix. However, these two are not my top picks. The next two are…
Lewa/Uxar. Always been a fan of Air Toa (yes, he’s still a Toa of Air in my book), but Master Lewa had too many problems for me to love him as much. This Lewa is slick, rocking a not so crazy scheme of green/silver, which I like. His build looks great (aerodynamic), and his mask is amazing. My one problem is his weapons, which I still haven’t decided whether to make them combinable or totally overhaul the forearms with a custom flip out blade design. Uxar is still a DRAGONBIRDBUGTHORAXANTENNATHING, and he is my favorite Creature now. Sorry, Ikir.
Pohatu/Ketar. I’ll be honest, I don’t know what to make of Poehawtpotato this go around. He ended up being my favorite Master, but something about him just seems messed up to me this time around. His colors are cool, but they make it so that he doesn’t know who he wants to be. I liked his Master mask better than this one, definitely. And I really don’t care for his weapon. The Jetarangs were cool, but this abomination does not give me the vibe of a stone-cold wasteland brawler. This coming from the guy who wants Pohatu to get hand gauntlets and custom feet, but eh. He’s still iffy. Ketar is okay, but he’s nothing special.
Gali/Akida. Gali is better, but again, nothing special. Her mask is cool, and her weapon makes more sense than Pohatu’s. Also orange. Looks great on her, better than yellow ever did. I like the idea of a shark with guns, so I automatically like Akida. Also, Gali is Little Mermaid 3 confirmed.
Onua/Terak. Never have I honestly liked Onua more. The only other version of Onua I liked was his original Mata form. The Master version was an excellent build, but something changed about it after a while. I thought it was my favorite, but then I started nitpicking. 2016 Onua has almost nothing for me to nitpick. I love his newfound height, his color placements, and holy cow am I loving his weapon. Looks far more like a hammer than his old version ever would (I thought those parts made better shovel claws anyhow). I’ll probably ditch the end axle and just have him hold it with one hand, though. Terak is okay. Kinda bland, but kinda nice in his own way.
Kopaka/Melum. Okay, first off I’m liking the look. Master Kopaka had this gross hulky linebacker/Roman brute thing that I kinda despised as Kopaka. This version is a knight, with armor that is light and weapons ideal for quick movement. I don’t mind his screwy color scheme in the slightest. The one thing I dislike is his gun thing. Totally replacing that with a different shield and probably ditching the gun entirely. Melum is meh. As often aforementioned, he and Terak are clones. So he’s meh.
Umarak. Holy crap I love him. By far our best villain in G2 set forme yet. He’s creepy, he’s massive, and he screams ‘evil’. SOOOO glad his mask is dark gunmetal grey rather than that gross silver color. Also combo with Uxar. Umarak is a must buy.
