BIONICLE 2017 Speculation Topic

i’m thinking more like anti-Toa.

Well, along those lines, I’d like it if Makuta corrupted a powerful elemental being from long ago (like a dragon priest from Skyrim) and turned them against the Toa. They could attempt to kidnap and absorb the Creatures.

However, I like the idea of the Toa calling other warriors to help. Basically an army of twelve heroes.

I think it was great that the original Toa were brought back for the reboot- for nostalgia’s sake, and to get the new gen kickstarted- but part of the reason I love the Protectors as characters is because they are new. Maybe not new in concept when compared to the Turaga, but still new names and characters none-the-less.

However, if the Protectors are to become the new protagonist team (replacing the Masters/Uniters), I would want it to be in 2018 (if we have a 2018). The big reason why I love G2 more than G1 is because the story feels organized. I think TLG has learned what works in constraction, and what we have today as G2 is a result of 15+ years of trial and error. Not just in story, but in sets as well (pattern of 6 small sets, 6 large sets, and one larger set in winter wave; 3-4 large sets and 1 Titian set in summer).

As far as themes:
2015: Mask of Creation - Skull Spiders/Warriors
2016: Mask of Control - Creatures and Beasts
2016: Mask of Ultimate Power and/or Time - ???

This entire three-year arc should focus on the Masters/Uniters adventures, leaving our next story arc starting in 2018 open for new protagonist and new story arc.

Or We’ve just get G2 versions of the Toa Marhi, Toa Hagah, & Takanuva than it’s been army of nineteen heroes, instead of twelve.

Either that, or the places they reached out to send a small squad for each Toa to command.

Then it would be like the Toa Empire, except the Okotans from each region would be protected by a Toa-Sized tent party.

You know what I’d like to see in 2018+? Here’s an idea I had (Lego would never do this though lol)

The Toa have defeated Makuta. The MoUP was thought to be rendered useless. But Makuta’s final action was to release the singular elemental power from the MoUP into each Toa… Now the Toa are “possessed” by the MoUP (but it wouldn’t be as clique because it’s just controlling the armor and mechanical parts, not the biological parts) The Protectors/New Group of 6 must rise to defeat them and prevent another Makuta Revival.

@moamahrimatoro I don’t like that. The Toa should be able to return home at the end of their arc, and from their onward we should get to follow a completely new villain and Toa team.

It’s just a satisfying way to conclude their story on Okoto.

Maybe all these rumors are all a ploy by Lego so people will stop looking for leaks. They might have seen the new Bionicle Autopsy and thought that something needs to be done. Than the fans seeing that Bionicle went on long than anticipated would also make them feel better, but this is all just a theory.

Maybe as they are leaving it happens? Their “destiny is broken”?

I presume he’s referring to the autopsy Var did about how leaks are bad for the Bionicle community. It isn’t “New”, per se, but that’s what I assume he’s referring to.

Letters in the Roman Alphabet forming words of the English Language, I presume.

As the future of Bionicle turns more uncertain day by day.
I doubt we’ll have that many new molds for the next wave.
They might even have to compensate it by reusing either the uniter or master masks.

On the plus side, when this was last done the sets ended up as fan favorites

Well, it could also be the opposite. Maybe they’ll let Bionicle go out with a boom and surprise us.

Well, honestly imo whatever they do with the mask, I don’t care, aslong as there is a good story reason. It doesn’t make sense that they have two sets of golden masks. (2015 and 2016).

I mean the one a few months back that talked about leak season.

in my opinion that is the worst wave Hero Factory ever had, not counting the first heroes with no bendable joints

Annnnd your argument is…? Your opinion doesn’t disqualify the majority vote. Like, you can dislike it all you want, but saying that won’t change that most others like it. :stuck_out_tongue:

well that is why I said in my opinion, I hated that they brought back the original masks with new bodies, if they did that with bionicle I don’t know how I would feel

I wouldn’t know either. I liked the Breakout sets because the 1.0 helmet design was really awesome to begin with, even if rest of the pieces were merely just trash. It did help that I absolutely hated the 2.0 and 3.0 helmets.

The master masks are lovely in their own way but I’m not that big of a fan of their design.
