Chapter 10: Heroes Rising
Ahkmou was about to fire a bolt of Shadow energy from his staff, a blinding light broke his concentration. The source was none other than Toa Takanuva.
“Toa Takanuva!” the Matoran cheered.
When Ahkmou’s sight returned, he saw the Toa of Light standing defiantly against him.
“So, we meet again, Takua,” Ahkmou said mockingly.
“You can’t run this time, Ahkmou!” Takanuva said.
“Actually,” Ahkmou said before pulling out a Kraata. “I can.” He then squeezed the Kraata, forcing it to project a sphere of darkness into Takanuva’s eyes to temporarily blind him. “We’ll meet again, Toa.” With that, Ahkmou pulled out another Kraata and used it to teleport away.
When Takanuva’s eyesight returned, Ahkmou was gone. “He got away!”
“Uh, maybe you should help the Matoran?” Berix said.
Remembering his trapped friends, Takanuva created focused lasers to cut the stone bars.
“Thank you, Toa,” Macku said.
“Place the stones on my Suva,” Takanuva said. The Matoran did so and a pillar of light erupted from the middle before focused beams zapped the Matoran, transforming them into Toa and wearing great versions of their masks.
The seven new Toa looked themselves over after regaining the use of their senses. Kapura, who was once pure red, was now red with bits of orange. Macku’s light blue and regular blue colors were now regular blue with dark blue and bits of gunmetal. Tamaru went from lime and turquoise to dark green and lime. Hafu retained his black and tan bits, but, gained bits of yellow. Kopeke went from grey and white to his previous white and sand blue color. Taipu went from black and tan to black and silver while also sporting a larger physique. Onepu, however, retained his prior colors. They could hardly believe it.
Apologies for the delay. Holidays on the horizon.
