We have made the following changes to the rules:

Clarification on where to post entries to officially enter them:

3. In order to enter, a new topic must be made for the creation with (Contest name) in the title. That topic must then be linked in a post in the official entry list topic made for the character in question.

The dis-allowance of cutting flex-tubes:

8a. Cut pieces and cut stickers are not allowed. This includes flex-tubes.

Allowing multiple colors on painted pieces, however disallowing elaborate patterns:

8e. Painted pieces are allowed, however elaborate patterns/designs (I.E. Toa Uniter torso prints, etc) are not. Replicating dual-molded/marbled pieces is allowed.

Allowing editing software to be used to change the colors of pieces, provided they are featured on the MOC already, and only to exact parity. These rules have also been moved from section 4 to section 8:

8j. Entries may be modified from their physical design with digital editing software, such as Photoshop or GIMP. However, the changes may only be the colors of the creation, and they must be in full parity with any official colors already featured on the MOC. Failure to meet full parity, and failure to correct it within three (3) days of staff request, will result in potential disqualification.
8k. Entries may also be placed onto a custom background through digital means, as long as the MOC is not altered aside from coloration. This may only be done to the entry image.

Since there are five toa after Lariska competition. Is it possible to put one of the remainig titans in the middle? Golden skinned being or Marendar? It could break 10+ months of toa competitions

When order of the competitions were voted upon (ttv who is next, you decide poll) Marendar and gold skinned being were voted more than some of the toa characters. Altough it is not a reliable source of popularity since question was who should be next and not who is the best.

edit: I must admit that I am biased. I am going to take part in the Marendar competition and I would definitely like if it came sooner instead of the last. (march 2023 by my estimate) XD.

I certainly get where you’re coming from, and I would like to make some changes to the list as well, but that discussion is going to need to wait until after the Lariska contest is over.

That makes sense. Maybe a month early so people have time to readjust to new schedule, however this too is a discussion for another time.

May I add that I was one of the fans who came back to Bionicle thanks to these competitions. You have gotten a lot of heat because of these competitions but I would not be here without them.

Just a random question idk if it has been answered before, but if the tuyet contest comes around will a Nui Stone be able to be included and if it is included will it be canonized?

just an guess/opinion: I’d assume Artwork competition at least could include the stone. Artwork competition of Artakha officialised his build AND the Mask of creation.

If artist includes her holding the stone (preferably she is in middle of megalomania/ I rule the world pose) then it would be also be canon.

however this will probably be depated closer to the tuyet contest.

@Eljay @Mesonak So question if a number of people decided to colab on an entry would they be allowed to enter that entry, given that they provide proper credit to all the involved builders of said moc? Asking for future reference

solved Yeah I second this question. My brother has made a cool Moc but we don’t have the right colours, could I draw it and submit the art and a picture of the Moc as entry in his behalf?

They may not be submitted on behalf of another person.

You probably wont be allowed to do this because of the above with how you formulated your question, the answer looks like a no. However you might be able to enter with your brother as a colab but It depends on how Eljay or Meso answers to my question.

Five quick questions:

• 1. Is an entry with all four Hagah for the the MOCs vs. Art round eligible if it only includes 5 pictures? (Namely, a group shot of the four Hagah followed by four individual pictures of their respective Kanohi?)
• 2. If the the answer to the previous question is yes, then can the group shot for the MOCs vs. Art round be of all six Hagah instead of just the four?

• 2a) If not, then can said group shot still be included as a bonus picture, separate from the required pics?

• 2b) If the answer to questions 2 or 2a is yes, and assuming your entry from the MOCs vs. Art round won, then would said group shot of all six Hagah be eligible to be re-submitted as the required picture in the following round where entrants are required to enter a group shot of all six Hagah?

• 3. If my entry has all four of the Hagah, am I allowed to give my consent for only 3 out of 4 of their masks to be changeable in the Group Shot Art round? (e.g. giving consent for Pouks’s, Kualus’s, and Gaaki’s kanohi to be changed, but not Bomonga’s?)

But I have even figured out a way to make that work. It’s just a little more involved.

This foot mod is based on the updated ankle design, but it could easily be made to work with the original design as well.

The point of this modification was to get rid of the illegal connections in the original design. I addressed the three cases of a 1L liftarm in a socket, as well as the imperfect angles holding the foot together. I also kept the colour blocking as close as possible to the original design.
