BIONICLE G1 Canon Contests Discussion & Questions

Well thats also a simple possibility. Poor horses. I just realized that the word Horses looks really weird

we need greg to answer this

what is the most efficient canon-compliant way to beat a horse to death

This is a more important inquiry than what the Toa Hagah looked like. :stuck_out_tongue:

He’s not. He’s just saying we owe it to the mods to sit tight and let them do their thing in peace. Your defensiveness is unwarranted.

That is the worst possible course of action. We will miss out on quantum horse-beating.

Canonically, the ignika cannot bring people back to life. It can however, transform an innocent Po-Matoran into a clone of said horse with the horse’s memories and personality.

Or we could write a new horse who looks and acts exactly the same as the previous one, who will henceforth only be known as “The Horse’s Replacement”

guys, the horse jokes are starting to get a bit-off topic, we should stop horsing around and rein it it.

One of the last things Greg did was ensure a steady supply of horses to beat via the Red Star.

there’s at least a thousand of them, and 941 of them hurt.

What is a Metru horse build, if not a tireless debate persevering?

Made some data on spears used. My definition of ‘custom’ changed more than once while I was recording this so it’s not quite as accurate, but you get the idea.

Originally I’d also intended to go back and look up what each ‘CCBS’ piece was exactly, but after countless hours recording this data, I lost interest. So for now, they’re lumped into one.

Spears Used

Any time I write just a character’s name (e.g. ‘Tahu’), I’m referring to the weapon piece used in that character’s first depiction (the Mata weapons most of the time.)

@Tarkur - I’m obviously not staff, but I’m guessing that a reason for the polls taking longer than usual (apart from the large number of entries) is that they may want to display the three consent statements visibly alongside every single entry - meaning that they have to go into every entry post, find the consent statements, read them correctly (mind you, not everyone copy-pasted it - some people used their own wordings, and even added extra conditions) and then add it to each individual entry in the poll lists.
At least I believe that I read this somewhere, but I don’t remember for sure

I certainly did that.

There is certainly some validity to that theory and I can definately see that being the case. However the reasons things got a bit heated yesterday were because I was being told off for asking a simple question that for all intents and purposes TTV could have ignored or answered whenever they wanted to or had the time. Instead I was being treated like I was stupid or that I was being impatient and overall just belittled for asking a question.

Edit: on a different note I asked awhile back if collab entries are allowed for these contests in general? Given that all the people involved are given proper credit and it being a collab has been made clear. Don’t remember seeing an answer for this please correct me if I’m wrong.

Right, How long has it been going on now like 6-8 months, maybe more for the conest with the most straight forward characters?

It doesn’t matter how complex the builds are. The Hagah contests are taking a while because the Hagah contest itself is more complex than other contests. It’s the only contest that deals with 4 characters instead of one. It’s the only contest (so far) that has artwork competing with mocs. It’s the contest with the most specific rules.

I imagine that these things all make it so that the Hagah contest requires more planning on TTV’s part.

Ironic

and it got a metric ton of entries, all with different parameters and consent prereqs
