Fair enough. How ever I donât see the harm in having a contest for a character that is pointless(as debatable as the GSB being pointless might be). After all itâs not like more characters are being created so I say why not. But anyway thanks for the kind words on the moc and yes the front teeth are just place holders.

Re GSB potential parts shortage: I would rather have a canon depiction that I can never psychically build, but can still recreate digitally and in artwork (and in my miiiiind), than none at all.
Besides Iâm really interested to see what people enter for that one, and I like the potential use of Scaroxâs face:
Re âno armorâ, I think there is a little leeway since Bionicle tends to distinguish between âworn armorâ (which is whatâs mentioned) and âintegrated/exoskeletal armorâ. Itâs entirely possible that the GSB still had some armor on its outer surface, just not bulky plating on top.

not to rain on your parade, the launcher is neat. but one of the few things we know for sure about Varianâs appearance is that her mask is a shade of blue

SoâŚJaller Inika? Because thatâs what the silver Toa is based on, and launcher and different feet aside, this is just a Jaller recolor.
Azure, which, given the apparent flowery language, could be â â â â â â â purple for all we know.
The shield is literally her thing. That, and her elbow blades, which are also curiously absent.

Probably beating a dead horse here, but Varian is described as azure, which would probably mean something closest to medium blue as seen on Kiina.

I actually like this a lot.
That being said, Iâm confident that Varian uses a hagah-style rhotuka shield, based on the language of the story.
Iâm actually surprised a wholly fan-invented character has this many details established. The Varian contest should be interesting.

This hasnât been confirmed.
Additionally, the story describes Varian as forming a Rhotuka in the âcenterâ of her shield. Depending on how literally we interpret this, it could suggest that the shield is not the same shield used by the Toa Hagah.
Personally, I wouldnât mind seeing @KINGSIDORAK 's custom smaller Rhotuka shield:
It better fits the âcenterâ descriptor, and the smaller size seems more fitting for a Toa who is described as not being as capable in combat as her peers.

Itâs difficult to describe the level of fear that shot through my body when you made me realize that thereâs going to be an inevitable Varian Shield Debate.
I really, reaaaaally do not want to initiate this yet. Iâm fairly sure bs01 defines varians shield and the hagah shield as the same device, right?

They do, but that doesnât make it correct.
All we know is that Varian has a shield capable of launching Rhotuka. We donât know its shape.
