but yeah, I feel nostalgic to the HF sets, so I doubt that it would be that hard for a young kid (or a older kid) to find them nostalgic, heck! I miss my 2015 Lewa and I want to buy him again! but I do not think that is 'nostalga as much as that is just wanting to have him again.

Sure, I didn’t like a lot of things about 2007. But boy did I love the Matoran and island worldbuilding they did.

I think @VictorianPanda is getting at how the 06 marketing was explicitly marketing the grungy, emo-ish teenage archatype with the broken chain fences, Piraka “gang”, lighting and stormy night backgrounds and a known pop/punk band in the commercials.

For the record, I think that’s one of the most bird-like Rahi they released.
I don’t think 08 was going for the same thing. More of a “dark, futuristic caverns” vibe (notice all the hexagons?)

they were my least favorite BIONICLE sets, not because I hate them, but because they do not speak to me, they are not posable, they look kinda awkward…yeaahh…not a 01-03 fan.
