i loved them as a kid. still do but can we all agree that 09 @legomaster1378 was an awful year??

No, I don’t agree with you. While the second half might have had an “eh” story, I loved the worldbuilding and gladiator stuff in the winter wave. And man did those sets have good parts.

i’ll be honest here
i didnt like the year
not because it was bad
but because of the add of helmets and not really masks
and the iron man heads
I loved 09, so much nostalgia for it and 09. I watched TLR a while back and I liked it because how many memories I had watching it.
I loved them. I still want all the helmets from that year.

honestly for me the humanizing of bionicle is what i didn’t like about 09
iron man heads bothered me the helmets bothered me for me they were just parts packs
They weren’t supposed to have Kanohi though. It was literally a different world.

I really love the look of the 09 vehicles. They were something completely new, very complex and different from what we’d ever seen before.

That looks delicious.
But that’s just it. The 09 vehicles have that post-apoc, cobbled-together, dare I say “tribal” (especially in the case of the Baranus chariot) feel.
