digital artists can burn in-
oh.
Consider my style a hybrid.
That’s certainly one way to put it.
also, Ahkmou pog?
It’s old and new combined, just like the Matoran of NO. Woah, maaaaaaaan…
So, uh… this reboot is going places.
Also, the planet has a ring now. I thought that’d be a good way to make it distinct.
yikes
And THIS is what happens to people who take Ancient Aliens seriously!
love your redesign of the rau looks ten times better.
I love the inclusion of Bionicle pieces in the city! Makes the first two panels depiction of a Sphereus Magna city feel true to what their cities would look like.
Also I like that there are alien robot god things around…I’m looking forward to seeing this develop
What? It’s just a matoran being willingly sacrificed to their mysterious alien robot overlords.
Nothing ominous about that.
No of course, I was referring to the … art! Yes. The art.
No, she is not an Agori. These new Matoran (or “Nu-Matoran” I suppose) are a halfway point between the oldfactory Matoran and the organic Agori. It’s usually a 50/50 split, with shelled, crustacean-like bodies. But Po-Matoran, as Ahkmou mentioned, are even MORE organic, more like 65%. So outwardly, some of them do look like Agori. As a being capable of growing muscle, you can see how much THICCER she is than a robot skeleton that needs hydraulic pistons in their neck just to lift their head.
Another Ahkmou original!
When Ahkmou lived in Metru Nui, he lived in other carvers’ shadows and longed to surpass them. Now, he’s a master who commemorates his rivals, but he keeps his mastery away from the world.
Maybe it’s because it’s been years since we’ve been here on this plot point, but this really hits different now.
This is my favorite response so far. It cut real deep.
I really am trying to give this version of Nova Orbis a more “official” feel. Make it look and read like something that could arrive in the mail with Lego Magazine back in the day.
Wasn’t expecting to see Gemma so early. This really is going a different path to the original version isn’t it? Intrigued by that weird machine/ship that Matoran seemed to be worshipping too.
My man hafu will always be remembered.
Aaaaand that’s it for issue 0! Pretty short, but this was just an introduction to the series. Other issues will probably be closer to 20 pages.
So waddya’ think?
How long does it take to make a full-length issue? Really enjoying it so far. I never got into the old story, and I’m interested and intrigued by this.
