Theoretically the characters would be pushed into greater and greater physical and mentally exhausting challenges to refine their willpower and their personal worldview until the only thing driving them forward is sheer determination and the powers of everyday men to carry them on. Would be neat to see it in a post-apocalyptic setting, but I’ve already got an RP to run atm

Looks back at the old Bionicle RP I used to be in that ran for nearly a decade and how one of RPCs, who is pretty much a normal Vorox with typical Bara Magna gear, killed a two-times evolved Makuta. Or that other time someone else with a regular Matoran defeated a super tank with a basic normal sword.
I might have an idea.

It’s about incentive; why would any character feel the desire to wander off into them woods to tear the jersey devil’s noggin clean off when they have to sit in a room and hear about the technological counter-espionage by people from mars operating in the basement of a tech store?
At the moment, Blessings of Astrea is a bit dead innit pushing towards understanding at least some part of why the sky ruptured and all time wound to a standstill. This will also presumably lead into their main quest, although right now the handicap for both these things is Oisli has to tell us where Fodbgen’s cane went.

I shower and touch grass daily, thank you very much. Also went on a helicopter tour last week. Terrifying but worth it. Need to try a hot air balloon next time the festival is running.
