Alright, got it, thanks!
I have a question in relation to this
Are we allowed to have some creative freedom in how we portray the different Toa teams? As long as they’re still identifiable?
Bruh you better not just build them all wearing their respective Akakus…
Or all wearing stylish clothes, with Kopaka wearing a suspiciously familiar suit.
I definitely won’t build them all with a white color scheme nope nuh uh
Well the Toa Mangai did have 4 toa of ice so it is possible for there to be a team full of ice toa which would be very cool to see.
I’m pretty sure Greg only said that as a hypothetical scenario for the Stasis Toa Contest. He confirmed (after being asked) that entries would be allowed to include that plot thread, but that doesn’t mean that it actually happened.
Yes thats possible
Yes. But he said it’s possible. And this quote is from 2010
After the contest was held. Its the quote from bs01
So yes I am building. These are the first two I finished. Lhikan and the flail wielding member of the Toa Makoki.
plus anyway he’s already built
currently i’m satisfied with three out of the six, and i’m just gonna keep working until i’m good with all of them
Oh. Nice. Every toa gets one of the forms right?
Yeah that’s correct. The extra Kopakas are there as a way to tell myself what form the remaining two toa should have.
Ok, nice.
Yeah guessed that already.
gonna give you guys a progress update
jovan
status: complete
cool dead ignika dude
status: complete
spinner
status: literally nothing about him matches the rest of the team, but i love this moc too much so we keepin it
ms. olmak
status: still needs some refining, but pretty close
soon to be turaga fire man
status: same as last one
mask of headaches girl
status: again, same as the last two
once i finish these guys, i’m planning on giving them names, making kaita-s, and leaving it at that.
thoughts are appreciated
Alright well um
They kinda look like you built them with a 60 second timer on
And considering
It doesn’t seem like you’re trying as hard as you could be.
or at all
Jovan: Nice revamp, but the bow makes me sad
Ignika dude: not too much to say about him. He’s your standard inika build
Spinner: would’ve been nice to see some correlation with his mutated form, but whatever (bonkles rarely seem to retain any features after a transformation).
Ms. Olmak: pretty standard stuff. I hope you keep her asymmetry; it’s refreshing to see a bit of asymetry on a non-mutated character (although an Inika or metru thigh piece on the arm wouldn’t hurt)!
Fire guy: Again I don’t have much to say. He could use some armor on the thighs, but besides that he’s fine
Discount Halhi: I feel like there must be a way to better differentiate her from Hahli
well i thought jovan was pretty good
plus i’m trying to go for a g1 aesthetic and set a precedent that everyone will feel obliged to follow
i wish i could, i just don’t have the parts
i need more g1 2006-2009 armor
Looks good
Looks good. Might need more silver
Might need some armor on the left arm. And maybe add something on the right one. Maybe finger like on my zaria.
Some armor on the left. Use the olmak. (Unless its an alternate mask)
Yup armor might be needed. If you’re gonna make a background for them maybe explain how he got to have the sword arm.
Change the lower arms. That would make her look more different from hahli.
Nice work dude! I love your Jovan, he’s an awesome revamp! I actually really like most of the others too. I feel like people don’t appreciate simple builds as much as they should. I think the only ones I personally would change would be the almost Hahli clone and the dead Ignika guy, the former because they are basically a Hahli clone, and the latter because the color scheme is all over the place. And then of course I would work on the fire guy a little bit, but overall I like him. Also
I have plans for my revamp of Lesovikk that will be pretty complex. Anyways, nice job overall
but of course
probably a good idea
don’t have one. we’re gonna say this one’s an alternate mask, and her normal olmak happens to be keetorange (to fit with the color scheme)
That’s ok.
