The one and only set I got from Exo-Force was the red mech suit with Takeshi, through Brickmaster. Sadly I lost a lot of pieces…
I would’ve bought more, but it was around this time that I was being ignored by my family. I could never ask for sets outside of Brickmaster and once that ran out I was banned from Lego’s.
Man i miss exo force they should totally bring that theme back.

You know, I always REALLY wanted Exo force sets way back when, that and mars mission. Unfortunately for me the walmarts around me at the time didn’t stock either and I could only find them at TrU or Target, abd most of the time I went to those I got a titan set or a larger SW set. Woo being a stupid kid. I honestly wish they had a new mecha inspired theme.
A Lego Mecha theme would be heaven for me.
They should bring it back with even more animoo hair…
Exo-force was always my favourite, I can name all the characters humans first then robots.

Iron Drone, Devastator (came in 4 colours; red, green silver and blue (rare)) and finally, Meca One the villan!
Looking back on the theme, I really wish I had gotten several of the sets

I have to say that when I bought my first Exo Force set I thought it looked really cool, and so did all the other mechs and vehicles over the years (well, most of them at least).
So it’s a shame that I came to hate them (well, most of them at least) as a kid. They just broke in pieces every time I tried to play with them, and most of the times they left me pretty upset for that reason.
Because of this I feel like many of the sets from that line (in the first year in particular), even if cool looking, were incredibly poorly designed, and I’m not surprised it sold so poorly in its second year. However I think a theme like that, if brought back, would be absolutely amazing nowadays, since we have Mixel joints and generally sturdier builds.
I have never had the problem of the sets falling apart. 
But I have heard this complaint multible times so I guess them not falling apart is an exception rather than them falling apart being the exception.
It’s that the hips tended to violently shatter when you used the light-up function, nowadays Lego wouldn’t let that past testing.
Hey, guys, I just found this set at my local 2nd and Charles:
It’s sealed in the box, however there are a few dings on the corners and creases on some sides of it. I’d like to know what I should do with it. Should I keep it in the box and try to start a collection (this is my first owned set of the theme), open it and build it (I’m somewhat debating this, however I have nowhere to display it in my house where it won’t get destroyed or lost) or try to sell it (I bought it for $18 USD, and I’m seeing NIB sets going for like $115)? Whichever way, I realize that this is an AMAZING steal, so I’m just quite happy that I found it.

And I don’t know what you should do with it, but it comes with a very nifty fiber optic cable for the power cord. Plus a light brick.
