Pakiki, after reading theProto Drake’s description in his rahi guidebook and observing the creatures actions, decided to leave it be. For now, at least.

Closing his book, he turns to attack the nearby chute lurker.

Weldvo, now seeing that the mutated chute lurker has returned, moves up and pulls out his firestaff, its end glowing brightly has it powers up. He strikes the chute in lag with his staff, hoping to unbalance it.

The Proto Drake quickly flung its tail back in order avoid the grab from the other arm. The drake then quickly darts to the side of the uninjured arm and attempts to strike the base with that arm with its tail, just as he did with the other arm.

Halmos barely manages to get out of the monster’s path, though the lurker flails its arms when it stops, possibly still striking the Matoran. The knife flies into its face, which only increases it screeching and flailing. If Vergil is not careful, she could get struck by a backswing of its arms, but she is successful in stabbing the Chute Lurker in its side. It is too panicked at the moment to make a coordinately attack.

For the Chute Lurker on the bridge, Pakiki’s efforts are questionable. What he was attacking the mutant with and where was unknown. However, in combination with Weldvo’s attack it ends up proving useful. In that Pakiki was enough of a distraction for Weldvo to get his strike. The lurker screams and tries to grab both of the Matoran.

Back with the Proto Drake, this Chute Lurker was a quick learner, taking a couple steps and leaning away to avoid the strike. Once the tail passes, it takes several quick steps forward and attempts to stomp down and pin the tail.

The Vahki is successful in calling such a disk and striking the Hapaka with it. Its hid starts changing and it drops the Vahki, whimpering in pain. It soon became obvious that it was petrifying, or at least some of it. With this distraction, Gatora was able to get close enough to strike it and shatter its crystalline eye. While it doesn’t destroy the brain module, the staff does get stuck.

Zeran doesn’t find much anything of use on the bottom floor of the lighthouse. Though with enough searching, he can probably find a spare, though weak, Shrinking Kanoka.

Tar was paralyzed at the moment and could not answer Derk. The Visorak does not fire its spinner yet and lets the Matoran hide behind the boxes. It would soon be upon Tar.

Kibal can hear the launcher starting to give a light hum. It felt oddly natural, but also like that shiver or shock that goes down one’s spine. At some point it would built up enough that he would want to release it to get rid of the feeling.

If he wants, he can try and experiment with the spinner in a random room first. Or try and calm the launcher back down. Otherwise, when he eventually comes to the exist to the outside world and it is blinding. Like a right lightstone was held up into his face, the glow flowing in from the exist was painful. He could real back, but something tell him he can trusts this and go forward.

Zeran hears the shattering and turns to check if the pink matoran is okay.
“MY STAFF! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT” he complains standing up. “DID YOU BREAK IT!”
@keiththelegokid

She glared at him as she kicked the face of the beast to pull the staff out and get it dislodged, “Shut the karz up! You’re alerting the other Rahi to our preferen’e!” she hissed out, “and I’m doing ju’t fine thank you 'o much!”

OOC: Voyo was going to Po-koro by land.

IC: Voyo keeps running, but at a slightly slower pace, because he was starting to run out of breath.

Vergil’s eyes spark and she grimaces…or smiles maybe, it’s hard to tell. She withdraws, pulling back the spear and diving low to avoid the flailing arms of the Chute Lurker.
She glances across the way towards Halmos, and back toward the Lurker. For the moment it’s focused on him and not her, giving her a small amount of leeway to work with.
Stop it as fast as possible, she thinks dully as she raises the spear. Don’t let it kill the others.

Vergil takes a step forward and takes another jab toward the back leg of the Chute Lurker, aiming to pinion it to the ground or otherwise disable it. She throws almost her entire (though not very impressive) weight behind the blow to try and drive the spear through the mutated Rahi’s leg.

Zeran scoffed then returned to searching for anything of use.
Fortunately he spotted a glint out of the corner of his eye and snatched the

Jackpot he thought to himself.

Luckily for Halmos, the Chute Lurker’s wild swings just manages to pass over his head when Vergil attacks. The beast, tired of screaming at this point, just lets out a sharp breath as the spread punches through its leg. It goes through and into the ground, but not very far and won’t holds its leg for long. The Horidka Lurker twists its body around, reaching with one arm to pull out the spear and the other to grab Vergil.

Pakiki and Weldvo fail to dodge in time and both are snatched up by their Lurker. Their arms are crushed to their sides as it squeezes with delight. It charges up both spinners as it starts to back away. Lync could try and save them or just run away.

With the Proto Drake, the Chute Lurker is successful in pinning the Rahi’s tail. It then quickly moves in to grab further up the drake’s tail so that it can pick up and bash the prey around.

The Visorak was now upon Tar and started covering the Matoran in ghoulish webs for transport. It keeps watch still for Derk, well aware of the Matoran’s position, ready to fire its spinner.

Going from the Vahki’s location (outside of feeding center) back to the lighthouse would take a decent walk and time. Though for the Vahki, its senses were restored as the Hapaka’s power wore off. Gatora and the Vahki are within range to notice the Visorak capturing Tar, should they look in that direction. Zeran may be able to notice, but would have to do quite a run to get within range to help.

It’s a good thing Voyo was slowing down in general as the terrain became more disheveled and probably would have tripped. If not for uneven and broken ground, then the increasing number of web strands would certainly catch him. And running makes a lot of noise anyways, noise that could attract monsters.

Which he might recall, this was the direction those mutant wolves came from in the first place. Though aside from his own footsteps and breathing, it didn’t sound like any monsters were coming for him. Oddly quiet in fact as the sounds from those he left behind drift forgotten.

The path before him to the Great Coliseum was a long one, it would take time to reach it and then Po-Koro. Though who knows, perhaps he’ll get lucky and happen to wander near one of the bridges or old chutes to the stone district. Assuming they’re still up that is.

Spurred to action, Lync pulls two teleportation discs. Taking a moment to aim and account for the lurker’s motion, she throws the pair at Weldvo and Pakiki in quick succession.

Pakiki lets out a yelp as he his captured. He tries to squirm around in the creature’s claws and kick it, but probably isn’t able to do much.

He is glad when he sees Lync aiming a disk at him.

IC: “Can’t kill it alone-” Vergil begins, before diving backward to try and avoid the lurker’s arm. She slams against the ground hard and lets out a muffled grunt. The Ga-Matoran rolls backward, pulling her disk launcher and aiming one of her two last Weakness Discs at the Rahi.

“Stop. Stop-” She mumbles half-audibly. She lies still, too still to dodge another blow…but still enough to carefully aim the Weakness Disc to hit the creature right in its wounded leg. Maybe it will be enough to pin it, to cripple it so Halmos or the others can finally put the beast down.

The creature’s shadow engulfs Vergil, and her eyes widen.

One of the Matoran pods in the lighthouse opens with a hiss. Inside an Onu-Matoran’s green eyes slowly light up, blankly observing the world beyond the now-open pod.

Zeran notice this but decides that he wouldn’t be able to do much with the disk he has.

A small pod in the lighthouse opens slowly. The door sticks a bit but when the creature inside wakes up he kicks the opening wide enough for him to step out. He looks around blinking confused.

The two newly awaken Matoran find the light room a the top of the light house in a disastrous state. There were pieces of other pods scattered across the room and what might be remains of a creature in a pool of sticky adhesive. Everything has a red tint from the light outside. Over the sounds of stirring waves and scuttling below on shore, they hear the sounds of shuffling underneath them as Zeran searches and finds that disk.
