Recently I joined an rpg called Black destiny created by @cordax and my character, harry, has a cool paralizer. When I made a MOC of harry I liked how the paralizer turned out so I decided to make it as a full size prop.
It all started with a trip to the hardware store where I bought one of those plate-things that you put under flower pots (I’ve heard that some people call them saucers or drip trays) for 50 cents. I went home and I used an x-acto blade to remove the excess material following the grooves on the plate thing to imitate the steering wheel piece I used on the moc, I also cut a hole for the light to shine through. I assembled the wheel with a tube piece made for sinks that has a screw on piece so that I could remove the light to change the batteries. I built the rest of the blaster with cardboard, cardstock, super glue, hot glue, masking tape and a toilet paper holder. I painted it with some spray paint and I added some details with alluminum tape. For the light I used a fake tea candle and a cap that I found in the garage.
In the future I may change or add stuff, for example a removable “battery” to imitate a scene in the rp. Maybe I’ll also build other props and stuff from black destiny
criticize, comment and stuff, tell me what you think
Interesting idea, I like making helmets, the problem is getting them to be smooth mainly because I use cardboard, and the only thing you can do to make cardboard smooth is to cover it with wood filler and sand, a lot, like A LOT. I have already drawn a proper helmet for harry that hasn’t got some of the volitak features in it.
Maybe I’ll make it of I have enough time.
