I love your Chibi Mata-nui. He’s looks ready to kick Makuta’s tail-pipe (I don’t wanna swear). I don’t suppose maybe you could build a chibi 2003 Makuta or a chibi 2004 ultimate Dume?
Adding Mata-Nui to the list was already a stretch. I don’t want to add any more canon characters to the draw.
I nominate one of my favorite mocs ever, Bythalis by MrBoltTron: (7.0) | The Definitive Edition, hopefully the last time I re… | Flickr
now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time
Just a note here to say I’ve updated the rules a bit and changed how I’m going to be doing things.

I used to unofficially require someone have an account here and comment on the topic to nominate a self-MOC. That’s no longer the case and in the case I get one via a DM on another platform I’ll add it here too just for the sake of recordkeeping.

The chibi-nuis are scrapped. They’ve generally been a distraction from the primary purpose of the project which is to explore, celebrate and build as many community members’ self-MOCs as possible. All the recent ones have been in limbo for months on end before being completed and a lot of my best parts end up bound up in a separate collection where they can’t be used for anything else during that time. I think I’ll still have six chibis per series but with them getting more intricate and the focus moving to the chibis’ builds, the combo models need to go.
That said here’s a couple renders of the WIP combination for Series 9. Likely would have been another Dark Hunter, possibly with a non-humanoid lower body. A lot of unorthodox techniques and tricks I’ve picked up over the years but without much visual flow where he was at.
ooh that moc looks pretty cool
can i nominate someone multiple times using multiple methods
Personally voting for the same person’s self-MOC more than once is still against the rules.
wow that looks really nice
Bronzejet, Self-MOC of BronzeJet, nominated by @Cyclopian !
A case of diving into the archives with this one as BronzeJet’s own MOC (if there ever was one) seems lost to the mists of time, but I did find his backstory and a couple of MOCs made by (Display name goes here). Essentially, this is Tahu’s old mask of speed which has achieved a sort of sentience of its own and inhabits an old suit of samurai-inspired armour. It was a lot of fun to build!
Stud.io renders:

and an alternate with red eyes like the original:
Looks pretty good!
cool, how do you attach the mask to that HF head?
this is a joke btw i think the mask is just floating there because Stud io lets you do such magic
@Eilrach @Enbeanie Nope, it’s connected legally to the HF head via an old school ball joint with an antistud.
However that head is then attached illegally to a second balljoint that has friction with the inside of the chin and the back of the first balljoint.
iirc the technique was pioneered by Rahiden. I used it in his self-MOC chibi in Series 4 as well:
I’m recommending Moro Gon, self moc of FredLord999, to the project!
