The blue brother tried to melt the rocket but missed, he quickly raised his shield and the rocket pushed him to the ground while the shield turned black
“I thought I was done using this until after our children were born.” Catina said as she held and activated her Corpsermaker. Sao Paulo. Just waiting to pull one of them onto the Corpsemaker being held by a Spartan III with a roaring Black Leopard painted on her helmet.
Then she noticed Aries in front of her was a bad position. So she stepped up besides Aries. “Bad idea to be in front of me, when I will start off by catching one of them on Sao Paulo.” She said.
Ambrose was leaning against Cataclysm, on the ground where he had been all this time, totally. He looked up at the Darkstar II, longing to be aboard, amid the action.
Lobster slid to a halt as he entered the surprisingly calm bridge “What’s going on?”
“They have not noticed us yet.” Santiago answered.
“So we wait, and deal with anything left over?”
“Bingo”
“Just like the good old days” Lobster said, a hint of sadness in his voice.
Santiago nodded, polishing Escape and Insurance.
Void and Omnicus bickered, about various things they had done to upgrade the dragon. The Baron sat in a chair in the centre of the bridge, controls bristling on either side of him, just waiting to test out the upgrades.
“Yeah…” Aries said. The door fell down, and the Wardens charged forward, killing two of the Spartans instantly. Aries sniped one, and the other two opened fire on the Wardens.
“Subsection 12, heavy resistance from renegades!” The leader reported.
“D*mmit…” 4728 cursed. Nearly thirty casualties already. Thirty of his family, his brothers and sisters. He watched as three more joined the ranks of the deceased shortly after, and it killed him inside.
“All forces…” He chose his words carefully. “Evacuate the Dark Star. Secure primary starboard hangars and get to the surface.” Tom ordered.
Gianni 4444 decimated a third group of invading LR soldiers as he made his way to the primary elevator shaft.
“There’s a primary elevator close by.” Sky said as she finished off the group.
Catina ran down the ramp, activating her Bubble Shield, and stuck Sao Pualo outside of it, pulling one of the Spartans onto her Corspemaker & stepping back into the shield. Then Catina just stared at his face for a few seconds while he was helpless, before slamming him into the floor, dropping Sao Paulo, and blowing his head off with her shotgun.
Catina then walked out the far end of the Bubble shield, and yelled to a nearby Security Camera. “You wanted to mess with us, and now this team is the first to get butchered! I hope that is what you wished for!”
Hector sat watching a monitor and saw Samuel, Saraha and Leo. He crushed what he was holding. “Sir, permission to go down there.” He asked 4728.
Sarah held onto Grace and didn’t move.
“F*ck you… Monsters…” 4728 said, clenching his teeth. “Ruby, go with Jonathan.” 4728 ordered as Robert entered the bridge. The command crew had long since left. “Denied, Hector. We’ll make it off last.” He sighed.
As Sky killed the last Spartan, Sky looked up to see they were surrounded. Foxtrots on all sides ready to slaughter them.
Aries and Catina ran until they saw another large group of Foxtrots.
“Mop the floor with them, Midnight!” Aries called, killing one.
Sky watched as one was killed from behind, curious as to who did it.
Grace kept Sarah close, avoiding enemy fire. “I have you, my love…” She cooed.
Ambrose began thinking about Angela. He knew how much she would’ve hated this, and a wave of anger rolled over him.
“May I suggest to everyone.” Catina said. “That we cause enough damage to allow us to leave on our ship. Rather than wholesale massacre them? As in not running into battle while three months pregnant!” Catina angrily said to Aries. “I will personally smack you upside your head for putting them in danger!”
Hector growled as he grabbed an energy axe and put it on his back.
Ana dropped a modified Bubbleshield around Daylight.
“D-don’t hurt me, Cat… I just… I’m sorry… I’ll do what you say…” Aries said, frightened. “Don’t hurt me…”
“Look, whoever caused that distraction is my hero.” Sky said as she killed a nearby foxtrot.
“Calm down, my precious Sarah…” Grace cooed.
“Stay inside the shield, we can shoot out, they can’t shoot in.” Ana said as she fired her surpressor.
“Okay…” Sarah responded.
Sky smiled at this. “You’re the best, Ana.” Sky called.
Dabdab played the drums. It was a custom made set, for his size, and he banged away with his hammers, laying down a siccc solo.
Catina pulled Aries into a hallway littered with corpses.“Focus on our children’s safety, rather than killing sprees that put them at risk.” She told Aries. “We just need to make sure our ship can leave with our whole family. Let them fight it out.”
“We need to destroy the thing that pulled us in.” Aries said. “They’re in there, my glorious, precious, beautiful, wife… My queen…” Aries said, trying to appeal to Cat’s mercy.
“Can Arrikay and Midnight lead us to it?” Catina asked. “And let’s keep it that way. Two battles against the Covenant, and these guys, is two too many. We need to protect our children, and not by going Rambo against any and every armed group we encounter.”
“This is boring.” Omnicus stated.
“What do you suppose we do about it?” Void answered, almost sarcastically.
“We get down there, and squash some bugs” Omnicus said, the red glow fro, him seeming more intense for a second.
“There is a gravity well to be disabled.” Void commented. He turned to Lobster and Santiago “What do you say?”
“He can handle things up here.” Santiago said, nodding at the grunt.
“I’ve been wanting to stretch my legs for a while” Lobster said, with a weak laugh.
Ana jumped and spread her wings. Out of her back two small drones came out and hovered around. They independently fired at the spartans.
Leo fired his carbine at another spartan.
Aries and Catina assisted Arrikay and Midnight by killing the Foxtrots around Daylight. It didn’t take long for Sky to lock eyes with Aries. In the silence that followed the battle, Sky was the one to break it.
“I suppose you expect us not to kill you by helping us.” Sky said.
