[Toa Hagah Group Shot] My Entry to the Toa Hagah Canon contest. Seems only fitting my first post is related to one of these, seeing as I made my account to vote in the last one. My designs for the Hagah were based on trying to make sets that could have feasibly been released in 2005, alongside Norik and Iruini, which meant not using any parts or Colors released since then, keeping the build simple, and using custom parts for only the masks. I personally feel they match well, but of course I would, I made them. Instead of the required 1 breakdown image, I decided, for whatever ill-informed reason, to make full manuals, hence the post being so late. Makuta's puppets - Toa Hagah (BIONICLE Canon Contest #3: Honor Guard, Part 2 (Art)) Artwork

Hello there, I present you my submission for the Toa Hagah art contest. [Toa Hagah 6] He wanted to show them in some kind of battle formation, ready to go. The Kraahkan in the background represents Teridax’s presence and threat on the Toa, either deceiving them with lies or deceiving them with mind control (he is not actually physically there, I am not implying that at some point Makuta takes the form of a giant Kraahkan). MOC changes The first thing I wanted for the team was an equal armor color ratio, and since the disput for that was beetween gunmetal Pouks and metal blue Kualus, I end up chocing metal blue for both. This color works surprisingly well with Pouks, and also give a more precious metal look than gunmetal (although I’m not sure what precious metal). Gaaki Originally …

Hi all, here’s my entry for the art portion of the Hagah contest, hope you like it [ToaHagahAlt] So, for this I did change some things: Metallic colors - I understand this might be an unpopular choice with some due to excessive part painting, but I’m gonna be honest, the 1/1/1/1/1/1 color split looks awesome. It really makes each member stand out against one another and even if parts have to be painted… Weren’t they going to be with masks anyway? Toa Hagah, Makuta's Guard (Bionicle Canon Contest #3: Honor Guard, Part 2) Artwork

Hello! Here’s my art entry! [Rothanak_Toa hagah small] This scene depicts the Hagah guarding a Makuta fortress in a valley carved by lava. They stand guard at the arrival of an unseen foe and Kualus summons some Fikou friends in preparation. Storm clouds loom above foreshadowing the battle to come. I kept the speartips the same because I though that they matched the character of the mocs well, but I changed the masks for gaaki and pouks. I went for gunmetal instead of keeping the metallic blue because I felt that as protectors of Makuta their armor would be darker to reflect that as opposed to colorful metals. Hello, Here is my entry for the Bionicle Canon Contest #3: Honor Guard, Part 2. [Toa Hagah Final] So, a little context and explanation to my entry: Overall, I wanted to depict the Toa Hagah in the scene that defined their entire further lives and the lives of everyone in the Matoran Universe. As soon as I heard this contest was going to be a group shot, I’ve had this idea in my head. I’m really happy with how it came together. I also really found it important that everything pictured here is from existing canon, from the Makuta fortress to even the Rahi bird. For their metallic colors I tried the 1/1/1/1/1/1 and 3/3 distributions, but eventually the 2/2/2 distribution turned out to be visually the nicest in my opinion. Guardians of the Shadows (BIONICLE Canon Contest #3: Honor Guard, Part 2) Artwork

[hagah group art] Here’s my entry for the art portion of the Toa Hagah contest. I gave Gaaki one of the non-canon Mask of Psychometry designs and one of Tahu Nuva’s swords as a speartip because I saw them on other entries and liked the idea. Pouks’ mask is shaped like a noble Kadin, in honour of Turaga Jovan. I chose it and the Kurahk staff piece for his spear because they are spiked, like his shoulders. I went for 2/2/2 colour distribution, with Kualus being gunmetal because I think it contrasts better against the bright green eyes. The background is inspired by the comic in which Norik and Iruini are transformed into Rahaga, with the tan mountains and purple sky. The colours for the heartlights are taken from the Rahaga’s secondary colours in Web of Shadows - Norik had orange, Gaa…

[hagah group] Lackluster in artistic skills, but with a grandiose vision, I present my Toa Hagah group artwork. I don’t expect to win - in fact, I don’t expect to get any votes. Hello TTV Message Boards! I’m Aspie_Gamer. Bionicle was a key foundation of my childhood and the comics LEGO and DC put out back in the day really helped garner my interest. With the Bionicle community recently celebrating 20 years since the iconic LEGO theme debuted back in 2001 and after getting a feel for how the two previous Canon Contests went, I promised myself I would participate in the art portion of the Toa Hagah Canonization Contest. Heroes Again (Bionicle Canon Contest #3: Honor Guard, Part 2) Artwork

After 35 hours and 23 minutes, I present to you the Toa Hagah. Updated with shield on Kualus’s back. [Heroes again] Old version [Heroes again_20210912204917] For this piece, I wanted to go all out and draw them in the miramax of course with a few creative liberties. Bomonga was more of a challenge since his body type was so unique, because of this I drew him with a large tube in his spine instead of a piston like the others. The background colors are inspired by the color scheme used in the Toa Hagah commercials in 2005 where there was a yellow light contrasted with a green sky. Not enough people were drawing Kualus with the slider foot on his chest so I added it to stand out. The kikanalo he rides is supposed to be a breed with raptor-esqe proportions. Time Would Bring Transformations (Bionicle Canon Contest #3: Honor Guard, Part 2) Artwork

After a month (and a week) of blood, sweat, Krita, and tears, I’ve finally finished my digital painting of the six Hagah. I’d like to add for the record that I almost finished it by the original deadline, but the extension was a great way to finish it without any last-minute stress. [Hagah Shielded Up] I definitely wanted to go for a Miramax-style inspiration with this. It’s not 100% faithful- I decided to axe some aspects like all the wiry bits and Nokama’s janky feet, but I kept their designs as a basis and used them as reference quite a few times. My goal was: if a piece was used the same way in the Toa Metru as the Hagah, to try and match the Miramax depiction of it as close as possible (such as Kualus’ lower leg and the upper thigh armor of almost everyone).
