Black works best because it is the least likely to require multiple coats or a primer
I more meant to build around the head as a base but I guess coloring could work too if you don’t want the trans (insert color) showing through.
I need help building goggles around a 2015 protector mask and head. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.
I’d advise replacing the 2-stud axle that holds the eyestalk in with a lightsaber blade piece, then attaching an exo-force robot arm to each end as the “straps” and attaching a magnifying glass or frying pan to those to create the goggle lenses. Just off the top of my head though, so I can’t guarantee that it’d work. Good to try, and may lead to other ideas.

Different coloured Rakshi foot piece, but hopefully this works for you! It’s a bit wobbly, but that could be fixed with a more friction-y pin:
As for the mask… you wouldn’t happen to have a white Hau or something? Simple, but it works. Really any 2001 mask would work.

OK, anybody got a decent custom female torso design? I’m currently stumped beyond hell, spending hours trying to make something. I just need some inspiration.
Here are some of my favorites
The armless torso from the force awakens figures makes a pretty good base to start.
And if you don’t like the chest the inika shoulders look pretty good.

Found my torso solution just now, but thanks for the suggestions! 
EDIT: After 5 friggin’ hours, I finally finished the torso.
God my back hurts.
And now I need torso help.
Anyone got a good “mutated” torso design where most of the body is taken over? If not any way I could acheive that sort of look?
