If we’re being correct with our titles, it doesn’t actually imply they’re married. It implies Ms. Monopoly is unmarried, and Mr. Monopoly is married (depending on who you ask, Mr. could be an ambiguous title for all men)

As I was taught, it’s after a woman is divorced or widowed. Pronounced “mizz” not “miss”.
