A new trailer has been released.
yeah me too
I think Kahi is right on this one. The graphics could DEFINITELY use an upgrade with a different engine.
However, the game’s new features actually look amazing, so I’m even more interested in it.
I could care less about graphics. Game play (and maybe story if it’s an RPG) Is all that I care about.
I am really looking forward to this game. But I kind of wish they would’ve waited tell episode nine to make this.
I think the new features are really cool.
But dear god the graphics are straight out of a slightly-low-poly Wii game.
VOICE ACTING!? WHY!?
#WHY?!
All previous Lego Star Wars games didn’t have any, so the voice acting is out of place.
(And don’t bring up the Lego Batman games, the addition of voice acting in those sequels is understandable.)
What about the Lego marvel games? And I’m pretty sure the lord of the rings and hobbit games have it as well
Those games started off with voice acting.
Lego Batman 1 had no voice acting, 2 and 3 did. Lego Star Wars 1, 2, CS and 3 (4 games total) had no voice acting, so having it in this game makes little sense to me.
Well, I haven’t played those games in a while and I’m used to the voice acting, though with what is in the trailer it seems like its going to pull lines from the movie, which is something I’ve never enjoyed
It’s because Lego wants to keep up the trend of voice acting now. Why would you stop that all of a sudden JUST to keep “consistancy” with the other games when they had less technology for that in the Lego Games.
Honestly this is fine, I don’t see why voice acting is bad. In fact I’ve been waiting for this for Lego Star Wars for a while.
It’s an improvement? LEGO has standards to their games know, and like it or not, that standard will be voice acting.
I remember when I complained that LEGO Batman 2 had voice acting.
But honestly, it’s just the norm now.
STANDARDS? Don’t make me laugh. If they did have standards, then the 3DS version of Lego The Hobbit would have been higher quality. (I hate that version of the game.)
It’s the 3DS. They’re usually not as good as console ports, and are in most cases botched.
Per SwagMeister - you can’t judge the quality of he home console games off of their (same-gen) handheld counterparts.
Have you ever bought a Lego game before the pre-order DLC was announced? if so did you get the DLC anyway? The reason I’m asking is because the UK version of Gamestop (Game) has the Empire Strikes Back Character Pack in the Deluxe Edition of the game, but they don’t list the Jabba’s Palace Character Pack.
I’m not going to wait till it is reviewed, I am not too big on lego games unless they are open world.
Pros:
- Awesome gameplay with the blasters. Looks very strategic.
- The space battles return, and they take a more free-flying feel, and they brought back the classic Lego Star Wars torpedoes! I love those!
- Looks like a ton of fun!
- Voice acting, of course.
- Character models are excellent.
- Exploration of space levels!
- Vehicle bosses!
- You get to move around in a vehicle again in vehicle battles!
So basically they made a better battlefront than EA.
Cons:
- The animation is glitchy and the lighting SUCKS.
- The character models seem to clip a lot.
- Poe Dameron’s face at 3:17 in the video.
- That opening scene was eh. Again, the lighting is bad.
- Some of the graphics need to be improved.
Pretty much yeah
