So I looked it up, and it appears to be a style of metalwork on jewelry. What exactly is she wearing?
Abducted shortly after she turned 17, and has accumulated a growth of her entire arm and numerous other parts on her body. How long has she been held? Has she been on Lugar de Morte during this time?

Essentially she can grow the shape of the crystals, though within a certain limit. Sheâs no Sandman, able to shape her crystals in seconds, itâs a much slower process to shape it into different configurations. Think a few days of directed growth. Itâs generally just a bladed claw. As for the explosives, yes and no. The crystals will not explode while still attached her body, but if snapped off they can function as explosives. This is painful, like snapping off a finger, but it can be done.
There is a ring of crystals growing around her eye, and she has decorated it with the filigree.
That depends, my thought was that she was simply kept sedated for study purposes and only recently released onto the island properly. As for the progression, who knows how long she was kept sedated or what experiments were preformed in the meantime. She certainly doesnât know.
So hereâs the dealio.
Iâm not sure this powerset is something that would either benefit her or even be a useful power the government would take interest in. Her only useful capability is held back by days of repair and the sensation of snapping a finger off, which may be conveniently ignored in strenuous moments. If she is able to clear that pain hurdle, however, here is a chartacter with a copious amount of explosive power present in the form of her arm.

Now a crystal the size of oneâs thumb has an explosiver yield equivalent to 10kg of Compound explosive C$, as the signup says. Letâs assume she is 6 feet tall, which is 72 inches, and the average length of the human thumb is 2.75 inches, which gives her 26 human thumbâs worth in her armspan. This does assume the shoulders are crystal, but if the reference image is to be taken literally, (ew anime) her left arm is actually almost as long as her entire body. Giving her an extra third of the total for the not terribly long crystal arm, this gives her arms a total length of 34 thumbs. I would probably need to triple the count for the extra diameter of the limbs, but only doubling it gives us a whopping 340 kilograms of C4 - and she can regrow!
I like the concept of the character being threatened by her power, and even the idea of having her body comprised of so much crystal, and her being able to regrow and weaponize it, but the slow growth rate doesnât do much to stop her from blowing up a significant portion of the facilities.
Iâd like to see this character concept taken to fruition, so if youâre willing to reinvent and retool some things, itâll probably get approved. Or if youâd rather start off with a fresh idea, itâs up to you.

I think the power concept is great, so if you do like it, Iâd certainly say stick with it. Iâm a sucker for powers where the drawbacks are built in to the power.

Not going to address particular points because I know what happened with explosive yields. The number cruncher I used gave itâs outputs in meters, and my filthy american brain compared it to feet, and not to yards which is the closer comparison. So yeah, feel free to cut that down to a much more reasonable grade. 300-500grams maybe?
As for everything else, some of why is because I didnât want to go far with the power. If you think itâs alright to up the speed of regrowth and the speed of her ability to sh1ft the crystalâs shapes, so itâs closer to a sandman sort of deal, fine by me. I just didnât want to go overboard.
Where itâs at now, sheâs carrying enough explosives to decimate the helicopter the group rode in on. If you want to retool it, feel free.
Alright, I edited the original post, I decreased the time to change the crystal shapes, and lowered the blast strength to about 10 grams of TNT, a lesser amount of a weaker explosive.

I mean, 1 gram of tnt is less energy than a food calorie, 10 grams of tnt is nothing, itâs about the equivalent of 1 gram of gasoline. Itâs functionally useless unless I wanted to give someone a nasty burn. Or shove it down their throat I guess.
