Meskii (V4)

Oh man it’s time for the 4th version of Meskii, my most popular MOC to date.
Meskii (V4)

She is my super naive robot gal with an innate curiosity for the world around her.

She also loves just about everything pink, cute, or soft.

Meskii (V4)
“It looks just like me!”

Meskii comes equipped with energy blasters, of which any of her four arms can turn into at will.

And let’s not forget her computer desk, composed of a weird mixture of technology and ‘human’ items. (Because everyone needs a decorative water bottle in their life.)

Her face is the HF visor with the print removed (A high quality eraser will do the trick without damaging the piece.) and custom stickers for eyes, made by cutting up a sticker used in a LEGO Elves set.

Meskii thanks you for reading!

(This is not about the MOC itself but) the background is way too bright for this. It’s kinda eye glaring, and really distracts from the MOC.

Now for the MOC itself

I’m not huge on the new head, it throws off some of the white distribution, and honestly I think the Kaukau was just more fitting. The head is rather small and round, while the rest of the MOC, while having curved surfaces, has a few more angles than that.

The Kaukau just looked better and more coherent, in my opinion, despite just being a normal mask.

She has ripped calves…

what happened to her feet
did she lose them in the war?

All in all, I’m not a huge fan of this MOC. It’s got a lot of conflicting textures to it, with the legs being fairly smooth and curved, and the arms being blocky. In addition, I really do dislike those feet. It makes it look like she’s standing on stubs.

Good! Because it just so happens shes a robot with stubs for feet.

The background is too bright. And the Torso looks really unpleasant imo. I feel like everything else is pretty good, but the CCBS shells on the torso ruin it for me.

Why do they resemble high heels if that is the case?

Outside of the single gem, they almost perfectly represent high-heeled shoes.

the head looks weird, not bad, but weird, but I think it looks better than the other version, which I believe was the objetive so…
it looks really nice

Design is still mini-yogert

From all the moc you made, this is the most accurate from what you “view”.
Not to sure about the chest since it sticks out more than the previous one (despite using the same shell size from the previous one), but all in all; this moc sacrifice some contrast over aesthetic.

The shots were taken on my DSLR, and they look fine. Not clean and neat but way more clear than most. The background is fine, while bright, it fits the color of the MOC.

The new head resembles the original artwork for Meskii way better. The colors are still distributed accordingly.

The MOC is different, yes, but I believe for the better.

@Omega_Tahu It’s different. I dig it. Better than most nuva-chest designs and adds more character to the MOC.

being different isn’t always a good thing, and comparing it Nuva chest designs is setting the bar pretty low. I still stand by my opinion.

Also, you can edit posts with the pencil button, so you don’t have to double post.

A background should be to make the MOC more visible, this just distracts from it because it’s so bright. This makes the MOC harder to see, because the color distracts from a very neutral color scheme of primarily white and black. Whenever showcasing anything, the clear and subtle background option is the best, not the fancy looking one.

The focus is the MOC, not the background.

That’s a part of the original concept, yes, but that doesn’t change the fact that some kind of white is in mass quantities all over the MOC except for the head, making it look unbalanced and almost as if the head belongs on a different MOC. The Kaukau may not have been solid white, but it still looked more fitting as transparent white than colorless transparent plastic.

I really like the head!
The textures clash a bit, and no feet for some reason, but I like it other than that.

I am sad to see her Kaukau go. :frowning:

Pretty cool, I love the futuristic aesthetic of MOC, particularly the head. The four arms and design of the legs also add a good deal of uniquity that make her all the more visually interesting IMO.

She looks really cool! I love her ponytail!

I’ve always really admired your MoCs! Is there any tips you could give me?

Basically this,

white
[/quote] it’s white? It looks tan.

but might I add
#AGH MY EYES!
for the background.

Yeah, it’s white (if you’ve seen the past topic)

The pink background just makes the color look really weird.

the chest still has a pretty weird-looking shape and the diamonds on her feet feel a bit random, otherwise this is pretty neat

aand i agree with everyone about the background

which should not happen.

for a moc like this, i’d say going for a grey background, almost dark grey.

'cause the primary color should NOT be distorted that much.

also, No Real Feet Syndrome (if “No Real Hands Syndrome” is a thing, then so can this)
