MOC: Sharp

It took me a long time to figure out how to add rotation to the head, but now that I’m done, it’s one of the MOCs I’m most proud of even though it’s really basic.

I do believe that after you make 3 (or 10) posts on other topics, you’re allowed to add pictures.

I also believe that MOC topics without pictures in them will get closed, so you can either upload the images to Flickr or imgur and link them here or simply wait until you’ve passed the post threshold.

You’re gonna have to read, reply and like various posts/topics in order to get- darn-it @Hawkflight :stuck_out_tongue:

@Pegasus88, if you can’t embed images from Flickr or whatnot, I’m gonna have to close and hide this topic temporarily. You can message me to open it again as soon as you have the proper clearance. Sound good?

Ok, since @Pegasus88 is a new user, I’m not going to close this. Once they have posted on other topics, and become a “Villager”, they should be able to post images.

I highly recommend doing something to the upper legs. Their open-balljoint aesthetic clashes with the smooth CCBS shells and the intricate G1 parts. Brilliant use of the minifig poncho though.

what would you try doing to the upper legs?

Maybe try to make a custom leg with some tan and/or burnt orange parts. Heck you could even use Rahkshi upper legs and they wouldn’t look half bad.

i tried the rahkshi upper leg before, it doesn’t look that great

Got ya. Try experimenting with tan parts then.

Will do. If I make changes, i’ll edit the post

The MOC looks pretty cool, but its issues lay inside of the Clay Brown breaking the color scheme and the exposed balls on the thighs.

I would give it a 7/10.

Good Job! :grinning:

clay brown? never heard of it

He’s referring to the burnt-orange colour used on the 2015 sets. It does clash a bit with the old school brown. However, as I’m sure you know, CCBS shells don’t exist in the standard brown colour.

i don’t see it as breaking the color scheme. i see it more as an accent

Yep. But you wanna be careful about having colours that are too close together. All too often they clash and look messy. And if you’re trying to give a MOC an accent colour, be sure to distribute it evenly.

While still being farly simple, this guy does look pretty awesome.

And the gun is really cool, too.
