Natare, Toa of Water V2

It’s been quite a while since I’ve made a new topic, so I’m sure I messed something up…

Name : Natare
Titles : Toa, Sister, “The Takea”
Species : Ga-Matoran (Toa)
Gender : Female
Element : Water
Mask : Kanohi Pakari, Great Mask of Strength
Home Island : An island in the western chain of the Southern Islands
Weapons : Harpoon
Backstory : Natare was once a Ga-Matoran sailor and fisher from the Southern Islands, and she was an unnaturally strong swimmer, even compared to other Ga-Matoran. Natare enjoyed racing Takea Sharks, often out-swimming them. At some point, a Turaga visited Natare, and gave her a Toa Stone. Upon receiving the stone, Natare was transformed into a Toa.
Personality : Natare is a laid-back and proud Toa, and occasionally she can come off as boastful. She has always known about her exceptional swimming skills that rivaled most Toa, though she’s rarely used this skill for actual Toa duties, especially since she’s not yet affiliated with any Toa teams. She still helps around her village, such as resuming her old Matoran fishing job. Though some among her village are starting to believe she’s acting more like an overgrown Matoran rather than a heroic Toa…

(Original design of the Makuta Fish by SomeBionicleFan23)

It’s been 6 years, and I’ve been working on and off revamping Natare’s design when I’m bored. If I had them, I would definitely replace the gray joints with either dark or light blue, but alas that’s not currently an option…

And I’ve changed her Toa Tool from daggers to a harpoon. Not much else to say about it, though.

That’s all for now! Thanks for viewing, and I’m still alive, by the way :sunglasses:

Only one Makuta Fish was harmed in the making of this post.

Why is this formatted like an rp signup :imp:

Good moc, I feel like this is one of the few cases where the shoulders feel too slim on a Toa, although maybe if they were lower and more in-line with the top of the torso it wouldn’t be so egregious. It looks like she’s got her shoulders shrugged.

we will see :goo:

Ask me 6 years ago, I just copied the bio for the original post, along with a couple of updates.

Yeah, I kind of went back and forth on that design. Well, in 6 more years I’ll update it again.

I like the spear. I also agree with Ghid, shoulders seem a bit too high. Not necessarily too slim, though. If those are Hordika necks, maybe consider orienting them slightly differently?

I reworked the shoulders a bit.

Ignore the big dead crab, this isn’t about him.

Much improved :sunglasses: :+1:

I was about to comment on the shoulders as well, but I think this is a pretty great fix!

Overall, she’s a simple build, but the little extra detail found in the thighs and shoulders help elevate her.
