It seems @Mesonak was right in his assumptions. The summer wave story will be different from that of the winter wave’s.
Sooo…anyone want to discuss the next season? Spoiler talk of course, but I’ve read some great speculations lately.
EDIT:
From what I’ve seen I think that rather than the ghosts coming out, the ninja are going into the cursed realm. A lot of the summer sets are focused on the ghost aesthetic, so unless Garmadon’s banishment glitched so that the portal was left open, I don’t think the whole army of spirits will be invading Ninjago.
On the other hand, I’m not sure why this would happen: the ninja going in. The main theories I have are: 1.They’re going to save Garmadon (not likely because he’s not in any sets), 2. There’s an underlying plot where trouble’s-a-brewing in the cursed realm so somebody calls out to the heroes (farfetched), 3. ghosts are leaking out, as assumed by the ending of ep 44, and the ninja have to go stop the looming chaos (more of a mix between theories).
I honestly have no idea where the ‘ghosts’ will come from. It is a completely new idea in Ninjago, along with the ‘airjitsu’.
However, I must say that the Destiny’s Bounty cameo in the last episode of this season was nice.
Also, Holy Detailed, Batman!
Holy Budget Batman!
Okay so
from what I heard in that one toyfair ninjago video thing, the ghosts are trying to take over ninjago, to turn it into a ghost city
Hypeeeeeeeeeeee
I actually enjoyed watching the tournament portion of this season. Right about when they landed after the skydiving scene the quality dropped for me. At this point it was just a rapid barrage of events happening without any cohesive story. The episode 42 and 44 are the biggest culprits. When Zane discovered his elemental dragon that was cool and all but suddenly everyone else instantly has a dragon without having to go through what he did and that felt kinda cheesy. When Garmadon reveals his secret, It is believable for Wu to be mad at him but I believe it would have been more in character for him to give a calm but stern retort then give the silent treatment instead of him going ham on Garmadon, and after that they don’t really even talk to each other about it the rest of the story, Wu just doesn’t acknowledge it or apologize even at the end when Garmadon sacrifices himself. Masako is the only one who gets a proper resolution with the whole thing. And then when Lloyd gets mad at him for leaving again he dramatically jumps off the ship and proceeds to go beast mode on the anocondrai, but not even half a minute later he just appears back on the Destiny’s bounty happy and forgiving with no explanation. Like, what was even the point of that whole sequence?
it was stated in the nuremberg toy fair ninjago vid
I see those summer sets, and my first two thoughts were:
- Ninjago has a really large budget for this wave and
- HOLY CRAP those sets look good.
crys at the sight of the price tags
I really liked this last season. I must agree with Meso and Eljay: this has been my favorite season. Now I need to catch up on the books.
Meso said something about there being a master of water in the books. Anyone know what book that was?
It was an activity/sticker book.
So I was at a movie theater recently
and a trailer for the “new” season of Ninjago came up
and I already knew tons of spoilers for it
AND I DON’T EVEN FOLLOW NINJAGO
tnx guis
Hmm… that would be pretty cool, but it seems pretty unlikely. The closest we might get is some more Samurai-type characters.
Well, whaddya know, samurai-type characters.
Well, those are only exclusive to that game.
However, the ghosts are wearing mish-mashed traditional japanese clothing and such!
Sadly, I don’t see any Kabuto.
P.S. I want The Overlord back at the end of this next season.
I was just rewatching Episode 35, the invitation, and I noticed something. Several of Chen’s men are watching Kai’s fight with Kruncha. Those guys were following the ninja.
Seemed pretty obvious to me. The red, the blue. She’s riding her moto-scooter for goodness sake!
