I’d start by asking the question, why is Eden going on this adventure? You said he was just some mediocre sculptor, so what reason does he have to rise above his peers and set out in to the Dark? Is it out of some loyalty to Ekimu, is he looking to prove something, maybe overcome some fears, or is he just in it for the glory? Maybe try answering that, and see what it tells you about his character.

Appearance:bits of rust spread throughout the body,slightly rusted mask(its not infected its just coloring)green eyes,darker shades of sand red and tan.Typical height. Bio:After hearing the stories of the Dark when he was a child,he once entered inside,before being ambushed by a hunter,and then promptly being rescued.He wished he could soon find out what was there.What were the hunters hiding?
Was it a powerful relic? Something else?Throughout the years,he soon started forgetting.He was desperate to hold on.So he did.Through his carvings.He carved the creatures.The plants.Everything he saw.Others laughed at him.Said he was chasing ghosts.Maybe he was.He just didn’t care.Others told him it was a death trap.He didn’t care. He spent much of his time away from the rest of his village,and it didn’t help his health.And now, hes here.At the city of mask makers.
Personality:Speaks his mind without a second thought to get his point across.
Can be unreasonablely harsh and stubborn.Many say hes got a heart of stone.He says some of them are just idiots.

I must warn you that this RP doesn’t have consistent activity a lot of the time, which seems to happen to the OA RPs. As well, I will be actively throwing challenges at the party with the good chance that it will kill some of them, and I will not go easy on any of the players for any reason.

The remaining Elder has consistently proven unsympathetic with attempts to locate them, and The Dark continues to grow in the absence of their leadership. For the sake of society we would dare to press on, but brother Ekimu has unwisely departed on his own initiative, and may be in definite peril.

With this in mind, I, Makuta, Champion at Arms and Head of the People of Okoto, commission you, the recipient of this decree, to arrive at the City of the Mask Makers on the first day, of the fifth month, and if proven competent, to engage in a potentially perilous mission to receive Ekimu, brother Mask Maker, back into the protection of this city, wherever that endeavor may take you.

No go. Your character hasn’t even arrived yet, and if he had, he would not have enough time to casually glance about the interior.

Cheshie took a deep breath as she gazed up the mammoth flight stairs that greeted all who dare approach the forge. She readjusted her pack on her shoulder, then began her ascent. By the time she reached the top, two things began woefully apparent to her: she was far too out of breath, and the forge’s gate was tightly shut. She paused, before tentatively giving the door a short but firm set of knocks.

Maybe try introducing them in a way like this. Show Henan actually arriving at the forge.

Henan’s neck joints creaked as he gazed at the massive statues adorning the entrance to the forge.Amazing craftsmanship. Henan thought to himself.Probably took a year to make.As he began to climb the enormous flight of stairs,He solemnly noted to ask about the techniques of the carving,and the type of stone used.As he neared the door,it seem to be sealed shut.He again looked at the carving,and then,trying not to break the craftsmanship,knocked on the door multiple times.
