The Pokemon roster…
While im glad it has more than gen 6, it still suffer questions, even though some pokemon were not shown due to render errors.
I really want to use Minior and Pyukumuku in my team, but it doesn’t appear they won’t be evolving including other pokemon like Komala which also make them less competitive depending on their stats and moves.
I still question the Ultra Beasts as being Pokemon, I feel them being like 1 pokemon with different forms like Rotom, and the last 3 pokemon that are black (not the final one) tend to look like omens of War, Pestilence, and Feast. Lastly the “final” one, I hope it has another form because I don’t want to wait another freakon game like Hoopa to see it’s true power.
Overall, im partially disappointed on the roster at the moment but my full thoughts is the game experience.
Well, at least if the game sucks someone will edit this trailer so it looks like the kid throws the DS into the river…
Its lower spikes look like a moustache that has encircled its eyes, every night it lies awake thinking about its existence as it realises the horrific truth that it has no mouth only a moustache. It has no mouth… so it cant scream, but its eyes… its dead eyes look onwards never blinking, never changing… always.
Waiting for that Shuckle Mega Evolution…
Been watching TFS gaming a lot lately and actually had a look into things regarding Pokémon moves. If you have enough time and money to get all the games, breed a specific pokemon with a specific advantage and give that pokemon an item it is actually impossible to kill it. There are other combo’s of moves, items and abilities that would enable you, in theory, to prevent your opponent using any move.
(E.g. a move that forces the opponent to repeat the same move while also having the ability that prevents them from using the priority move)
So for people who saw the leaks, can you give me the number of new pokemon? Only the number, nothing more, nothing less.
Sounds like the old spiritomb set up from gen 4 (diamond and pearl, not sure about the other three games) that could only be damaged by status conditions, weather, or a pokemon with mold breaker.
Basically you get Shedinja’s ability onto Spiritomb via a few moves with Alakazam and Spiritomb becomes practically invincible. At the time Spiritomb had no super effective weaknesses.
So I’ve been playing the demo and I’ve enjoyed it. While I have found some of the designs for the some of the new Pokémon lackluster, and a few Alolan forms questionable. I think I’m going to enjoy these games a lot, but I still have to figure out which pokemon I want on my team.
I am extremely dissapoint at the lack of any new mega evolutions. Gen6 was eh to me, but mega evolution was one of the coolest new additions to Pokemon and it’s a real shame that they’re retiring the concept after only one generation.
Sun and Moon feel more thought out and well planned compared to previous gens (like gen V was). I also get Colosseum and XD vibes so, they’re already set up to be the definitive Pokemon games for me. The dialogue is already a lot better than XY and ORAS. It doesn’t talk down to you as much.
Anyway, my team is looking like this:

I’m not sure about this slot yet. There are a lot of contenders that look pretty chill to me.
Edit: Oh yeah! I forgot to mention that the demo has events that occur over time. Visiting it again on those days might be worth it just because.
Models are easier to make than sprites, so trust me when I say that it isn’t that. The real issue is that a lot of Pokemon “fans” have continually expressed a dislike for adding new Pokemon each and every generation because they think that somehow, the Pokedex is getting too big.
I bet their world gets turned over when a new species is discovered in the real world.
“There are too many animal species, why do scientists keep discovering new diverse ecosystems, I can’t bring myself to love anything but the first 151 officially documented animals! They should have stopped after discovering the second batch!” ← That’s essentially what they sound like to me. No joke.
I won’t say it’s amazing dialogue, but it’s much better.
Also, so far I know you can go to these places and talk to people who will tell you to come back at a later date.
