possibly we get news about the Legendaries
or about Magearna
I predict that I will set aside forty(40) USD in a sealed envelope that I will then mail to myself for November 2016.
That it will make me feel bad…
Quick, someone slap a Hau on “Hau”!
First thoughts on the new trailer:
What about you guys?
One thing about the Rotom Dex:
“The Pokédex is a convenient tool that records information about the Pokémon you see and catch during your adventure. In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, your character receives a special Pokédex from Professor Kukui to support you in your travels. It’s known as the Rotom Pokédex, and it’s inhabited by Rotom, a Pokémon with the power to reside in various electronic appliances. It does much more than record Pokémon info—it sparkles with its own personality. The Rotom Pokédex shows your current location and your next destination, and it also gives you advice on where to go next, based on the conversations you have with others! It’s likely to be of great help to you in many parts of your adventure.”
I think we’re finally getting back to having regions that feature a little more exploration and mystery, rather than being linear like in Unova and Kalos. To help the kids cope, they just added a feature to the Pokedex that allows them to get useful hints and find their way if they’re just trying to follow the story, otherwise you can just explore and find little secret places like the good ol’ days.
I really want to Photoshop a Hau on Hau
WE HAVE A PERSONAL ROTOM DEX ASSISSTANT! I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!! TWO POSSIBLE RIVALS!!!
cool down
what the heck
there’s a rotom in the pokedex
game freak
i love you
Also, since I guess no one has posted this here yet:
Hunting Pokemon with a Pokemon… that’s like, super legit man.
Indeed, and it fixes quite a few problems I’ve had with the Pokedex. Like, where does all this information come from? Does it come from other researchers? Does it come from you? Does it come from your professor?
This new Pokedex takes all of that out of the equation. The Rotom, being a Pokemon itself, should be able to communicate with the creatures you find along your journey, thus recording more accurate and clarified statements.
I always thought that it like, scanned the biology of the Pokemon and then derived its facts from logical computations. Seeing a Pokemon in the wild doesn’t give you a long enough chance to do a proper scan, so you’d only get a picture of the Pokemon and an idea of the places it’d live in. When you catch them, you can do a full accurate scan without the Pokemon trying to maul your face off.
Wait, will Dex Rotom count as part of your team? Or will he be like a non battling Pokemon? In Kalos, we got 2 starters, so could this be the equivilant?
I’d be fine with that explanation, if entries like this didn’t exist:
“Sometimes, on a dark night, your shadow thrown by a streetlight will suddenly and startlingly overtake you. It is actually a Gengar running past you, pretending to be your shadow.”
“Sableye lead quiet lives deep inside caverns. They are feared, however, because these Pokémon are thought to steal the spirits of people when their eyes burn with a sinister glow in the darkness.”
“Shuppet is attracted by feelings of jealousy and vindictiveness. If someone develops strong feelings of vengeance, this Pokémon will appear in a swarm and line up beneath the eaves of that person’s home.”
“These Pokémon arose from the spirits of people interred in graves. Each retains memories of its former life.”
“According to old tales, these Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in the forest.”
These aren’t really biological facts that could be analyzed.
I think it’ll be a separate entity, like it will be bonded with your Pokedex permanently.
My theory is that the pokedex works in a way similar to how Tarvaax described it, but it also has a shared database that it can draw from that other pokedex users fill as well.
Now, a problem with that is why would the pokedex be blank and only fill in the data from the database when you catch a pokemon? It is because the Prof wants you to learn through experience as opposed to looking to your pokedex for every answer. All our school teachers have told us not to use Wikipedia but to do our own research for our homework; the same principle applies here.
Once you have proven that you can understand a pokemon enough to capture it, the pokedex unlocks that entry in the database. That way a trainer becomes a master from personal experience, but still has access to communal knowledge after they have earned it.
When you just said that
I thought of getting to know more about your pokemon
Solgaleo=Psychic/Steel
Lunala=Psychic/Ghost (Those two 4x weaknesses tho)
#bruh
Lunala is weak to Dark, Ghost, and Bug. You don’t normally see many bug types besides Volcarona and Scizor, but pursuit would pretty much be an end for you, except it’s ability might help it survive a switchout. I think it could be really useful if used right.
Bug is neutral against Lunala, since Ghost resists Bug. Same applies for Solgaleo.
GUYS GUYS GUYS! It says Rotom Dex is a new way to communicate with Pokemon…
There was a scrapped Pokemon Cry Translator in XY that’s been rumored to appear in Gen 7.
Could Rotom tell you what your Pokemon are saying?
Anyway, I’m okay with the typings for Solgaleo and Lunala, the sub can create magnetic storms, and the moon is a common point in ghost stories, so they make sense for me.
