Pokémon

Not that I can remember.
EDIT: Actually, I looked back on the saved video, and they had a Lilligant, but since it was BattleSpot, they could only use 3 'Mons. Lilligant wasn’t one of them.

(Srsly a mono-grass team of all things?!)

IDK, I can see that working

Grass types get a lot of really bothersome moves.

I recall one time I was doing Battle Factory in SS

and I was up against this Cradily with Leech Seed for like

way too long.

Yes, but I had a Pokemon who’s ability made it immune to grass-type moves AND getting hit by any of that type would boost its attack stat. I have no excuse for losing.

what was the play by play for that part?

I can only recall wrongly predicting a Sceptile mega-evolving. So I ended up hitting it with a neutral Dragon Pulse, and letting it take up a free Swords Dance. The rest is history after it Mega-Evolved on the next turn.

In the official timeline, remake are not included. It seems as though XY exists in two timelines: The one with all the main games, and the one with just ORAS.

You’re wrong. As a standard Gamefreak always makes the remakes replace the games they remade. FR/LG are prime examples. ORAS is in the same timeline as X and Y. The OR AS -> X and Y timeline is literally the current canonical timeline, specifically because of mega evolution.

To fight against that would mean fighting against the established lore of the Ultimate Weapon and the fact that it created mega stones in the first place. At this point it goes:
FR/LG=ORAS-> DPP=HG/SS-> BW-> BW2=XY

RGBY=RSE-> GSC=DPP-> BW-> BW2 -> an XY without ME(?)

I want you to source the timeline you keep referencing.

The first 2 gens are in Japanese, but you can tell the 3rd gen games say RS, not ORAS.

Me and @Political_Slime just fought.

the first matchup saw what looked like my victory, but I exhausted my Mega Ampharos too early in the fight

which basically let his Mega Blastoise sweep all five other members of my team, netting him the win.

The second matchup saw us using different teams, this time without Megas.

I swept 5/6 Pokemon with Galvantula

and then his Gardevoir put it to sleep

so I switched in Aggron

STAB Iron Head for game.

RIP Slome

You had a run.

In the first match, I was almost certain you were going to swap Greninja out first turn

but I went for the X-Scissor anyway because all Paladius was good for was maybe getting one hit in before I Speed Boost Baton Pass

Said Speed Boost is also why I run Dig on a Ninjask.

Additionally, I had a Super Effective move on everything in your ORAS team sans Metagross on just Galvantula

that was pure luck, sans Swampert, who i saw coming.

That was quite a long time ago. ORAS is canon, it refers and ties in with X and Y, both of which require the ultimate weapon. If X and Y are in that timeline, then ORAS replaces RSE. Also, notice how Emerald isn’t even included while Platinum is. This synopsis of the timeline was most likely made fast and sloppily, which is why these inconsistencies exist in the first place.

Alright, I guess my earlier synopsis (and yours) was correct.

but I did one shot his Ninjask

no duh.

Ninjask has a defensive stat of 45

Ninjask’s job is to outspeed things and do damage, and then maybe get off a Baton Pass

should have done that when I bought out a Flying Pokemon
