Salvation: Part II

The Green Knight repeats her ancient warning, as the sentinels beside her grip the hilts of the swords stowed on their hips.

“You gotta be slagging me…” he said as he prepared for battle.

The three sentinels do nothing. They simply stand there- ready to fight back if Gronius chose to attack, though apparently disinterested in starting a brawl themselves.

SideStep fired again.
“Ba weep whatever it is!” He yelled, frustrated.

The Green Knight shatters like glass into a thousand jagged pieces as the shot connects, and in a flash of light she disappears. Breakswitch’s foe is dispatched in a similar manner, while the sentinel wrestling with ■■■■■■■■■■■■ suddenly stops mid-grapple and shouts:

" Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong!"

“Yes! I know!” SideStep says.
He exaggeratedly nods.
“That’s what I was trying to say!”

“Were there any survivors?” He asked.

Epsilon was wandering around Salvation, mainly to kill time.

The sentinel repeats the universal greeting:

“Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong?”

Atlantis shakes his head.

None, from what I can gather.”

Zepar stops for a moment, “If my friend is there, he may be in danger seeing as how Knight defenses can remain functional even after eons of being unused.” He said.

Atlantis nods.

The defenses we erected on this planet have been set to attack any who do not possess an Omega Key. If your allies have activated any of them, they may very well be in danger.” he agrees.

Speaking of such…

Salvation shudders as an unseen force seizes hold of her. A tremor rocks her length, causing unsuspecting crewmembers to stagger.

Thrust glances at the image of the Knight ship.
“Huh.” He rubbed his chin. [quote=“Chromeharpoon, post:6837, topic:49995”]

SideStep sighs and repeats it.
“Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong…”

Juliana falls off the chair she had been sitting with a gasp.

Laslow who had been taking a nap, is undisturbed. It would take more than a tremor to wake him, especially since he was in the bowels of the ship, where the vibrations would be lesser.

Gc, while he doesn’t stumble off his rock, stands up quickly. “Deus, come on, that cannot be good.” He says, motioning for Deus to follow him, before striding quickly to the nearest port-hole.

Zepar gives a heavy sigh, “I must try to help my friend, do you know where he is?” He asked.

Epsilon caught himself as he fell, “What the scrap was that?!” He asked.

Halfrunner places a hand against the wall to support himself, as the patrons within the Antillian Sunrise cease their partying to look around futilely for the source of the disturbance.

“What was that?” the barkeep wonders aloud.

Deus gives a quick glance to the nearby Epsilon-5-

-before following Gatecrasher.

The ship was similar in design to the terrorcon-infested hulk our heroes had encountered weeks earlier, though it’s body was wider around and its arms shorter.

Atlantis is silent as he accesses the systems of the ancient machinery within OL-2-C.

I’m reading several thousand sparks in a ship above the surface,” he reports. “Three more by the communications hub, four in the shipwreck, and one in the vaults.

The image of the Knight ship changes into a hologram of OL-2-C, with five locations marked in red: one above the forest Salvation hung over-with two smaller markers located below it- a fourth some 100 miles northwest of the fortress, and another just below the equator, in the southern hemisphere.

Juliana picks herself up, and brushes herself off. “I don’t know, can you see anything out the window?” She asked.

‐-----------

When GC found a port-hole, he would look out, and attemp to spot the source.

“Where is the cruiser wreckage?” Zepar asked.

“Looks like the ship we found.” Vigor pointed out.
“I’m guessing you want us to save it?”

Halfrunner looks out the window, shaking his head.

“No,” he says. “I’m not seeing anything.”

All Gatecrasher would see were miles of tall trees stretching out below Salvation. Nothing to indicate the source of the disturbance.

Atlantis shakes his head.

There is nothing to save,” he says. “That wreckage has been here for eons.”.

The marker beneath the equator lights up.

“I’m afraid I must go help my friend.” Zepar told Atlantis, “I couldn’t live with myself if I let him die knowing I could’ve helped him.”

I understand,” Atlantis says, nodding his head.

Help your friend, and return here, when you are ready.
