Vertebreak lowers his cannon into his back, the protective flaps on its side folding back into place, but not before one of the missiles strikes it, disabling the stun mechanism. The predacon groans as the rest of the barrage pelts his back, and the beast begins to run, flames streaming off of him.
Skystalker swoops toward Salvo, landing on the ground as his wings become cannons again. The burning glow in his chest disappears as patches of frost begin to form on the predacon’s armor, and he launches a pair of disks at Salvo. The projectiles shatter as they hit the quartermaster’s armor, releasing a cloud of gas that quickly freezes around her.
“Slag!” Salvo swears as Skystalker whips his tail at her, the club on its end ripping through the frozen armor and tearing the mech in half.
“Oh, not again!” Salvo complains.
Skylynx continues to claw at Treadquake, the talons mostly able to reach his arms, chest, and shoulders. The Wrecker is able to briefly pry the predacon’s beak open a smidge, but with a sudden burst of strength, Skylynx clamps it back shut on Treadquake’s claws.
Skylynx had no obvious weak points, no glaring vulnerabilities in the design of his beast mode.
Darkside turned around in a milisecond, and floored it towards Salvo. As He approached, he opened his door, and shouted, “Get in Autobot!” Using his Charger again to slide sideways so that the open door was to Salvo.
Treadquake growled in frustration. He detached one of his claw gauntlets and pulled out his shotgun. He shoved it against the back of the predacon’s neck and fired repeatedly.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me.”
Starchaser said.
“When all this is said and done, I’m gonna give Shockwave a piece of my mind.”
Vertebreak turns around as the bullets ripple off his armor, raising his cannon to fire a pair of rockets at Thrust. At the same time, the Predaking leaps of the ancient fortress and swoops toward the Splitter brothers.
Salvo detaches from the remains of her mech and leaps inside.
Skylynx shrieks as the shotgun blasts strike his neck, tearing into his armor. The predacon transforms, the rapid shifting of parts dislodging his opponent.
Treadquake falls flat on his back. While he gets up, Starchaser charges in, transforming into her prop-fighter mode and firing everything she had at the predacon.
Thrust spins out of the way.
“OH no!” he screeches, veering up to avoid Predaking.
The three brothers transform into Split, who raises his shield and the Devastator.
King-Quan summons his two blades back to him and holsters them back into the shield. The gun transformed back into his energy blade form, as he also approached Bludgeon. Once they were in striking range he slashed with his blade at Bludgeon’s chest.
Skystalker flies after Darkside and Salvo, flames bursting on his wings again as he shoots two exploding disks at the Decepticon.
“Incoming!” Salvo shouts from the passenger seat.
Skylynx roars as the shots strike him, but inflict minimal damage. The predacon leaps into the air, slashing with his talons at Starchaser.
The Predaking lands beside Vertebreak, who quickly puts some distance between himself and the giant to keep from getting frozen. The Predaking glowers at Split, a low growl escaping his jaws.
Bludgeon blocks with his own great sword, Locking blades with King-Quan. The curved blade hisses as the energon within it ignites, glowing orange and shooting up sparks.
Wordlessly, the warlord lunges forward, pushing against King-Quan’s blade in an attempt to force the Autobot backward.
King-Quan holds the hilt of his blade with both of his hands. He took one step backwards from his attempt before he dashed towards the side and spun around. As he spun around and faced Bludgeon once again, he swung the blade in a downwards slash at Bludgeon’s head.
Skylynx is hit in his hind legs and falls to the ground. Growling, the predacon turns around to face the Wrecker and charges headlong at him, flames spewing from his mouth.
Skystalker twists in the air and banks to re-acquire Darkside.
“Uh, hey, purely out of curiosity, what the frak was that?” Salvo asks Darkside.
Bludgeon whips around and deftly catches the blade with his own. Taking his left hand off the hilt of the sword, he deploys one of the energy blades in his gauntlets, and jabs at King-Quan’s chest.
