Seriously, does anyone have any way to utilize fire in combat?

The creature is like the Gores below, but at least twice as big. It lays on its side. It’s body is grotesquely boated, it’s a sickly green. Instead of the two legs and two claws at the wingtips, it has six fleshy appendages, ending in thin, blackened spikes that reach out at least 3 feet.

Why do I get the feeling this is either a new monster or a nest alpha/queen?
