My guess is either GM fiat, the spell you’re casting isn’t strong enough to do that or something is resisting the spell that possibly could be connected to a security system of some sort.

Okay, but all the spell does is increase the rate at which the plant grows. That just seems strange to me

When your axe hit the door, you made more sparks than dents, but yes, you were able to make a crack large enough for the seed. It’s shallow, but it fits.
