The new trailer had a lot of cool shots, but I don’t know, the way the trailer was cut didn’t really get me super enthused for the movie. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still really looking forward to this, I just didn’t get the same awesome vibes I got from the first two TFA teasers (or even the first Rogue One teaser).

I love the shot where she’s walking towards the Tie Fighter.
It really sets the tone of hopelessness for some reason IMO.

There were only two scenes that got me hyped 1. Mah boi Vader making an appearance
2. The scene where we see Rebel soldiers running across the beach
If Donnie yen kicking stormtrooper butt doesn’t get you hyped, then I don’t know what will.

I would have gotten hyped if the Stormie’s were winning in the scenes we were shown
At this point, the only thing that can get me more hyped for this movie is if we see a StormTrooper land a shot.

Well they don’t need it. TFA was set 30 years in the future with almost all completely different characters. They needed to amp up the nostalgia to satisfy fans and bring back the original audiences. RO is in almost the exact same time as the original trilogy and doesn’t need constant fan service because of how the aesthetic is so close to the OT.

In the OT the Empire seemed unbeatable, they were an unstoppable tank, and the rebels only stopped their super weapon because they had a force sensitive pilot.
In RO, the Empire are being portrayed as an army of Ragdolls, there to be thrown around by the rebels, and I don’t like that, this trailer should have had more scenes of the Empire defeating Rebel soldiers

I have to agree with you there. The only threatening Imperials in the original trilogy were really the generals and officers, or maybe scout troopers as well.
